After George Floyd's death, millions of dollars have been donated to charities and racial justice groups with little discussion as to what we want from those investments. I want to change that dialogue. I want EVERYONE to "BE INTENTIONAL" and create an environment where the outcomes we want can actually happen. What does "BE INTENTIONAL" mean? It means that we stop giving to charity and start putting money in Black-Owned Banks and letting "Fractional Reserve Banking" do for Blacks what it does for other communities. In episode 29, I interview Dr. Robert Joseph of Team Mindshift, An Innovative Training and Technology Solutions Company. In the discussion, we drill down into why virtual employees need to change the way they learn and what they learn. In Episode 28, I discuss the Six (6) steps you should take if customers refuse service from your minority employees. In the wake of the George Floyd murder, I am learning of an increasing number of incidents in which customers are making demands that run counter to corporate moral and legal policies. In April, 2020, a customer requested that a Lowes store manager send white employees only to deliver products that they requested. The manager called the minority employee and asked him to return to the store. When Lowes corporate found out about the incident, the store manager was fired. As a manager, you should these types of incidents to continue. Don't get blindsided. Have a plan.Great News.
