Yes! You ARE Invited to tune-in, join-in, pray-in with us this Saturday Morning at 7:00 AM Florida Time! Ephesians 1:16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Come and See! Come and Pray! Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is true FREEDOM. For God has not given us a SPIRIT of Fear but of LOVE, POWER, and a Sound MIND. Those that are led by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God. Not every spirit is of God. Test the spirits to see. Those that do not confess Jesus Christ is Lord and has come in the flesh are not of God but of the evil one and the anti-Christ. December 1, 2018 – THE NATIVITY FAST – ADVENT --- O Come! O Come, Emmanuel! Episode 23 of Morning Prayer with Father Wade was originally broadcast on Saturday, December 2, 2018. Emmanuel means "God with Us" and when God, who is LOVE, comes within a person, a situation, a city, a nation, a world, GOOD THINGS happen. The good fruit produced by the Advent of the Lord is the LOVE that we have all hoped for and longed for and desired to have to share with others. Here is the Fruit of the Spirit, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 5:22–6:2 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/friarwade/support
Let's Pray together in the Morning! The Nativity Fast One of the perpetual questions that is always asked at this time of year is, "when is it proper to sing Christmas Carols or decorate for Christmas." Unlike the Fast of Lent, which is really a preparation for Holy Week, the Nativity Fast is one of joyful expectation. In recent years there has been a renewed emphasis on the cycle of the liturgical year. The traditions of an earlier age are being presented to the contemporary membership of our churches in an attempt to bring a spiritual element to the cycle of daily life, which has become so secularized. One of the most important seasons to be re-discovered has been the season of Advent, the fast before the celebration of Christmas. Advent, the Western name of this fast period, comes from the Latin verb “advenire” meaning “to reach” or “to arrive at.” Advent is the preparation for the arrival of the Messiah in the birth of the Christ Child. Have you heard a Call from the Lord? In your heart do you feel a thirst for Living Water? Come! Come! Come! Take of the Water of Life Freely! We are at A Time of Preparation – The Beginning of the Nativity Fast. Christmas is a FEAST! Many people are familiar with the Feasts of the Jews – Tabernacles, Passover, Pentecost, etc. Yet many have LOST the FEASTS celebrated by the ancient Christians realizing that Christ is the fulfillment of all the prophesies and promises found in the Hebrew Scriptures which were inherited by the Church. The Feasts are transformed from the Types and Shadow observance in the Old to the present day reality of the New. Jesus is the mediator of the NEW and BETTER Covenant revealed by the Church. Join us in this time of fasting and prayer called Advent, as we prepare ourselves for the Coming (Advent) of our Lord. This is Episode 21 of Morning Prayer with Father Wade. Originally broadcast on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Your feedback is welcome! Thanks for your support! Peace be with you! Fr. The Nativity Fast – While the American Culture Celebrates the Time Prior to the Feast with the Promotion of Christmas Parties, Shopping for Gifts, and Parades, the Ancient Christian Faith begins with 40 Days of Fasting to prepare for the coming (Advent) of the Feast. This feast is known as Christmas or the Feast of the Nativity according to the flesh of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
