How do you get into The Zone with that razor sharp focus where you cannot be distracted?  Who's the master of your mind? How can you become that master?  How can you handle unconscious thoughts and feelings, how to manage anger, fear and nervousness?  Listen in to learn how to gain stillness of mind.
What stops you from reaching your goals? How do you remove stops and distractions? How do you stop distracting yourself when you must be at peak performance? How is esports different from more physical sports when it comes to mental training? These are some of the elements I cover in this podcast episode. Drawing from decades of coaching and mental training of top performers, I reflect on what can help you gain sharp focus and reach your goals. This episode is a companion to Episode 16 "Mental Training" and the OnePageBook "Mental Training - The Core".

At the tail end of my interview (https://isene.org/2019/02/RelevantMen.html) on  Annmarie Bhola's  Breaking Ground podcast, she asked me about my views on global warming. We had an interesting exchange that turned out as a podcast in its own right. We decided it would be a nice joint venture to present this interview on Geir's Everything. Not only in RPGs, but in life in general - improvisation is an invaluable skill that will help you in contless situation. There is a way to learn to be truly present without having to resort to mental tricks or doing anything special. Learning to really be present without any props or tools creates a foundation for clean focus. Because if you can calmly be present without needing any mental crutches, you can learn to focus without any underlying mental noise. This podcasts is about this simple, yet so hard to master skill. To train to do it well, read this OnePageBook: https://isene.org/onepagebooks/#1pb-2-mental-training---the-core
Learn to become a better public speaker. Create a better impact and value with your audience. More interaction, less slides.
I did a talk at the Procurement 4.0 conference at Deloitte in Oslo. While the topic I covered was digitilization in shipping, I ended up recommending the audience to go home and ask their sexual partner how they could be the ideal partner in bed for them... and then deliver that and telling me how it went. I am curious if I will get any feedback. During the talk I covered the essence in the OnePageBook "Impress!" via the Arrow->Box->Arrow method. Listen to the podcast and I will take you through a drill using this method. Link to the blog post: https://isene.org/2018/11/Podcast-Impress.html
Shipping, ant hills and the crazy fashion industry. Why is collaboration good business? Why share? What does shipping have in common with the pharmaceutical industry? What is “ant hill innovation”, and how does that concept relate to the IT industry? In this podcast I cover a lot of ground - from the two types of collaboration and sharing to examples of industries where collaboration is common place to industries where it is shunned. I talk about Intellectual Property Rights; patents, copyright and trade marks. I cover examples of how those concepts can in fact stifle innovation and how limiting such protections can lead to more prosperity. Sharing can be more than just caring, it can be good and sound business. Link to the blog post: https://isene.org/2018/11/Podcast-Collaboration.html
I held a workshop in Tromsø - north of the arctic circle - at the annual WISTA conference (WISTA being the “Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association”). The topic of my workshop was “Digitization, robots and AI. Why women will be the last to be replaced by robots and AI”. I was having a fun three hours with 25 smart and inspiring women. And to sum it up, I decided to wrap it all into a podcast. Link to the blog post: https://isene.org/2018/10/Podcast-WomanAndAutomation.html
