Description

After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him.

Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that.

Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

I've read that Cracked article Patton talks about. It's hilarious.

Justin Trustin Kim I can't find the original article, either. It must not be available anymore. I did manage to find an archived version of the article on the Wayback Machine. The link is quite long, so I shortened it using bitly. Here's the bitly link: https://bit.ly/2VLMJN9

When the podcast is over I realize that I've not only laughed out loud many times but that I've been smiling with my whole face the way I might with a dear friend. (Just listened to Megan and Nick episode.) Happy now. Thanks Conan, old pal.

Finally, recognition of the real unsung heroes of 9/11: Late Night Talk-Show Hosts. (This comment should not be taken to heart. Those suffering with Catholic Guilt recommended to seek medical attention if self-flagellation lasts more than 4 hours.)

I feel like they were trying too hard to be funny and Conan was just stepping his game up to make the ep interesting. Different schools of thought on improv and I think I like the groundlings lineage more.
