Jerry Dugan says he is one of the most annoyingly happy people you will ever meet, yet he grew up in a broken home, saw his dad attempt suicide, experienced combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and almost lost his home multiple times during the 2007 Recession. He believes mindset is everything and it’s how we react to life’s circumstances that makes all the difference.Jerry is the co-host of Beyond the Rut podcast and like me, his hope is to inspire people to live a happier life. He lives in Corpus Christi, Texas with his wife of seventeen years, Olivia, and their two teenagers, Jacob and Emma.Disclaimer -  Some things in this episode may be difficult to listen to such as Jerry's personal account of witnessing his dad attempt suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling in the U.S. the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7.LINKS:BeyondTheRut.comFacebook.com/BeyondTheRutConnect with Deanne and the In Happier News Podcast at InHappierNews.com--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/inhappiernews/messageSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/inhappiernews/support
