Jonty Rhodes, commonly regarded as one of the greatest fielders of all time, popularized fielding in a sport dominated by batting and bowling. His love for India is no secret, given that he has named his daughter, India. Jonty is almost 50 but whenever he hits the meadows, he looks like a 20-year old. I ran into him on multiple occasions and each time his enthusiasm, energy and humility amazed me. We had a fun chat where he shared about how he grew up playing sports, his journey to becoming a cricketer, what he thinks of running and the importance of practice. This conversation was recorded at the race venue and so you will hear a lot of background noise… It might help to consider it as a purposefully crafted background score for your special listening. ;-)   Follow Jonty: Instagram Twitter Follow Vinee LinkedIn | Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | Twitter   Listen & Subscribe: iTunes Castbox Google Podcasts Overcast Stitcher TuneIn Radio   Music by: Harsh Davda Music Copyrights owned by: Vinee Ajmera

Rajeev Janveja, or Chef RJ, is as passionate about running, as he is about the delectable food he creates, and so it only made sense to pick his brain and find out how one can be a great chef and be superfit, all at the same time. He has launched many quality restaurants pan-India. While delivering his ideas and mandate on food concepts, he also emphasizes a lot on healthy living and fitness. His enthusiasm towards marathons is so infectious that over a dozen team members have trained as pros and are running the circuit, while a large number have taken up running as a hobby to stay fit.  Neeraj Dhiman was introduced to running by his girlfriend (and now wife). At the time Neeraj was dealing with a stiff neck and a stiff back which prevented him from playing squash, his usual sport and workout routine but he could run. He started out slowly and now for the past two years he and his wife have been running together. Running helps Neeraj to bring focus and awareness to the moment and it’s his time off from the digital world. He loves running to Buddhist chants and as soon as he finds his cadence and rhythm, running becomes akin to meditation for him. We grabbed a quick 10 min chat at the Marathon Expo to discover his fitness mantras. Please consider the background noise as specially created effects of the Expo for you and plesae don't let it bother you much.    Follow Rajeev: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rajeevjanveja/   Follow Vinee LinkedIn | Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | Twitter   Listen & Subscribe: iTunes Castbox Google Podcasts Overcast Stitcher TuneIn Radio   Music by: Harsh Davda Music Copyrights owned by: Vinee Ajmera

Running is life transformational! From the time i started training for my first half marathon till date, I have become grittier, fitter, leaner and way more resilient. Falling in love with yourself is what running teaches you. You start listening to your body keenly and you sync with every part of your body. I’ve met some of my closest friends like family because of running. When I started applying the discipline, determination and dedication for running to other areas of my life - be it work, fitness or relationships, I started seeing positive accomplishments just like i felt with every milestone I crossed on training days and race days. I wondered if this was the case with other runners too and over time I was privileged to hear of some of the most amazing inspirational journeys where the foundation of radical recovery or substantial growth was laid by the commitment to running. Through this podcast I intend to bring such stories and more to share the experiences and wisdom that might motivate you to tap into excellence and maximize your potential. Wonderfully put together and marvellously hosted by both the hosts. Got the feeling of the energy and excitement created by a race of this scale. Not to mention the behind-the-curtain works that go to make it a great success. Many congratulations to the team behind the Podcast show and to the organisers of the race itself.
