I'll Follow

I'll Follow

2019-05-2302:48

"I'll Follow" is an original composition by Color.  The song was inspired by the John 10:27-30, otherwise known as The Good Shepherd.  The song encourages us to  take a leap of faith, trusting that God will lead us where we need to go.  A difficult prayer, especially when things happen in our life that cause us to ask the "why me" "why them" questions.  A prayer nevertheless that answers the call for us to "Follow God" , follow the example of Jesus Christ and to use our gifts in service of others, to bring comfort, and to help them when they may be lost. I’ll Follow Born out of dust, I am a living soul  Brought forth by the spirit of God Forged with love, I inhale the breath of life But I am nothing without You my Lord An empty vessel in the wind Without meaning I will never find my everlasting peace So I’ll follow  I’ll run to You My Good Shepherd,  I will serve you with my life Lord I’ll follow Wherever you lead me I will never be lost again Jesus Christ You laid down Your life for me Your precious blood washed over humanity Christ the undefiled, rose from the dead Shackles have no power over You You lead me to springs of living water I am redeemed, I am redeemed from death and sin Music and lyrics for "I'll Follow" composed by Audra Stevenson. Bless the Lord My Soul

Bless the Lord My Soul

New music by Color Bless the Lord My Soul Excerpts from Psalm 102 (103):1-4,24-25,27-30 Bless the Lord, my soul! Lord God, how great you are. Lord God, how great you are,   clothed in majesty and glory, wrapped in light as in a robe!   You stretch out the heavens like a tent. Above the rains you build your dwelling. You make the clouds your chariot,   you walk on the wings of the wind, you make the winds your messengers   and flashing fire your servant. How many are your works, O Lord!   In wisdom you have made them all.   The earth is full of your riches. There is the sea, vast and wide,   with its moving swarms past counting,   living things great and small. All of these look to you   to give them their food in due season. You give it, they gather it up:   you open your hand, they have their fill. You hide your face, they are dismayed;   you take back your spirit, they die. You send forth your spirit, they are created;   and you renew the face of the earth. His Name is Joseph

His Name is Joseph

2018-11-2604:58

It's just our opinion, but we think that "His name is Joseph" is one the most beautiful songs ever to be written. This is a cover version of the song written (and originally recorded) by Sarah Hart for her album Into These Rooms. Color performed this song live in in 2012 at their In Christ Alone concert held in Barbados. We felt that this was a fitting way to enter the Advent season. Mary is always uppermost in our thoughts as we think about the baby Jesus and Christmas, but this song brings to mind some of the difficulties that she may have grappled with as she willingly, and without hesitation, said Yes to the Lord. Morning Prayer

Morning Prayer

2018-11-0702:41

Morning Prayer (O Lord My God) There are so many beautiful prayers that exist in this world. Sometimes we encounter a prayer that just seems to say what we may have never thought to say ourselves, yet somehow, we know immediately that we want to pray this everyday. St Anselm's prayer is one of those prayers, asking "O Lord my God,
teach my heart this day where and how to see You,
where and how to find You." As you contemplate and meditate on life today, we encourage you to search for the original prayer online, and make it part of how you start your day, everyday. The prayer has been adapted and set to music by Audra Stevenson Drakes, a member of Color who felt that it was a perfect fit as morning prayer. Morning Prayer (O Lord My God) O Lord my God, Teach my heart this day where and how to see You, Where and how to find You. 'Cause You have made me, and remade me, And You give to me
All the good things I possess. Still I do not know You Look upon this sinful heart Let me seek You in my desires, Let me desire You in my seeking, Let me find You by loving You, Let me love You when I find You O Lord my God,
Teach my heart this day where and how to see You, Where and how to find You. 2017 Color All Rights Reserved Like our style of music? Check out our album Breathe on iTunes, Apple music or Spotify. https://colorbb.org

How Great Thou Art

How Great Thou Art

2018-10-1204:59

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder... What a wonderful song of praise and thanksgiving. The origins of Great Thou Art are from a poem written by Swede Carl Boberg somewhere around 1886. The tune is said to be from a old Swedish folk song. The song was eventually translated into English and additional verses were added. To this day this song is one of the most recognisable Christian hymns to be found and has been recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Carrie Underwood. We hope that our humble version of this song, as recorded by COLOR, will be one that will take you to a place of contemplation, thanksgiving and reflection. COLOR Like our music? Soul of My Saviour

Soul of My Saviour

2018-10-0302:32

Listen to Soul of My Saviour, a beautiful Catholic Hymn with lyrics dating back to the 14th century sung by Color. Soul of My Saviour Soul of my Savior sanctify my breast, Body of Christ, be thou my saving guest, Blood of my Savior, bathe me in thy tide, wash me with waters gushing from thy side. Strength and protection may thy passion be, O blessed Jesus, hear and answer me; deep in thy wounds, Lord, hide and shelter me, so shall I never, never part from thee. Guard and defend me from the foe malign, in death's dread moments make me only thine; call me and bid me come to thee on high where I may praise thee with thy saints for ay. Like our style of music?
