In the beginning, the AYSES 91 class had no previous path to follow or to aspire to. This was the first AYSES team to finish through all the years of youth soccer, from pre-select, to select soccer ages 10-18 years old. The AYSES model was built on a model that was not present at the time. So we would have to create our own blue print. The players in this interview are a few of the pioneers that made AYSES what it is today. A team such few resources to their name. A team that in the early stages had to train on baseball fields. This episodes main focus is on the early ages of youoth soccer from 7 to 10 years old.
This episode goes through a brief journey of two players who played on a team who not only struggled but at times couldn't even compete with the top teams in their division. Several years later through, good fundamentals, perseverance, fun, and patience they were able to defeat these same teams they used to have no chance against.
4 players from the team that started it all in developing AYSES into the club that it is now, go through their journey throughout select soccer in paving the way for the club. Today's topic covers their journey from the ages of U-11 as 10 year olds to U-14. Learn about the essence of what it means to play at the AYSES soccer club from the players that were built from its foundation.
This episode highlights the fact that short term results do not guarantee long term success without proper fundamentals particularly in youth soccer.

Don't fall for the trap of early success at the expense of developing the right fundamentals. Starting from the bottom with correct fundamentals may be slower but a sure way to reach and stay at the top.
Starting as a small player in the beginning stages of youth soccer can end up being your greatest advantage over other players.
