Description
This is not a podcast.
Well, it is, but only as a by-product. It's actually an authentic, accessible space to process -- God, life, purpose -- that then reaches your ears.
This Spirit-led space allows guests (and you) to learn the power of honest processing. Whether stories, hard questions, or organic conversations, we process how we can see God in the midst, and how we can learn to see Him more fully daily.

In episode 203, Mary K Thompson challenges us to not be restricted by unknown trauma so we can discover the supernatural power of comfort. For a long time, her trauma was not only unknown to others, but to her, yet God knew, and began to comfort her in such a way that she now comforts with the comfort she's received. In fact, you may be comforted, even as her past trauma remains unknown to you, and yours to her!How has God comforted you? Here is how you can connect with Mary:maryk@marykthompson.com~Paul creates this as part of his full-time volunteer ministry. How can you be sure it has value? What is the goal? When the metrics of the world can muddle the metrics God uses, it is important to stop, be still, and listen. In episode 200, we celebrate 200 episodes with Alex Sanfilippo, whose "unexpected mission field" helped make it possible. Alex co-founded PodMatch, which has led to over half of the conversations we've heard; this wasn't a path he chose, but one to which he was invited. Alex and his team took a step of obedience ready to keep "Love God, Love Others" central, and when those values led to "foolish" choices, the saw God is no fool. What "unexpected mission field" does God have ready for you? Here are links Alex referenced, and ways you can connect with him:Coach Jon's episode"How to be unsuccessful"Podcasting Made SimplePodMatchAlex's socials, bio, and more!Whether you are a podcast guest or host or aspiring guest or host, PodMach.com/free will give you some quick ideas to help you grow and improve in your podcasting efforts.~Paul creates this as part of his full-time volunteer ministry. In episode 192, Anne Smith invites us into a hard space: as we feel wounded by others, God may want to work on US first. So often in relational conflict we can be aware of all the ways the other is wrong, and all the ways we are trying to be right; however, sometimes we can be "right" and still be wrong, because God is trying to do something different than fix our problems. In the midst of your struggle, He may want to do a work in you... are you willing to drop the pointing-finger and listen?

For a long time Charles didn't believe God was writing a story, as he navigated childhood trauma and identity issues; then one day he found himself sharing it during a counseling session, and his eyes were opened. Not only did it bring transformation for him, but He recognized God's invitation to offer transformation to others... including you.

In episode 186, John Boyle takes "Jesus is the answer" from a simple Sunday School statement to a profound reality for today. Growing up in an abusive environment, John struggled to understand love and the deepening impact of trauma on his development; as an adult, his pursuit to freedom led to alcohol abuse and futile attempts to stop. Just when he though he had tried every solution in the book, he met the Jesus -- a guy he thought he already knew -- and his life transformed beyond sobriety.
In what ways have your efforts fallen short but Jesus has come through?

In episode 185, James Early helps us understand Jesus's invitation to visit him in prison in Matthew 25. The "sheep and goats" passage is a convicting one because of our perception of others and what it means to serve; facilitating a Bible Study in a correctional facility because a way Jesus deepened James's understanding. Whereas most people understand prison and those incarcerated based on movies and shoes, James has been blessed each week by the image-bearers exploring the Bible alongside him. The message of Matthew 25 is for us today, if we are willing to open our eyes.
In what unexpected places has God invited you to serve?

In episode 184, Dallin Candland invites us into a simple way to encounter God, even without realizing it, and which can impact us again down the road. Poetry is a gift God placed within Dallin years ago, and amidst a season of seeking God intentionally he discovered verses from the past being used to impact him and others years later. It reveals that God has created us with unique ways of connecting with them, whether we realize the depth or not.
How has God created you to connect with Him?
