Do you wonder why you’re attracted to certain people and seem less compatible with others?Any 2 healthy, well-developed people can have a successful relationship. Understanding yours and your partner’s similarities and differences can help with communication - especially in romantic relationships. In their book “Just Your Type: Create the Relationship You’ve Always Wanted Using the Secrets of Personality Type,” Barbara Barron and Paul D. Tieger say they’ve found that many personality types are more satisfied when they’re paired with similar partners.
NT types, or “rationals”, are problem-solvers known for their ingenious, independent, and strong-willed nature. They prize knowledge and competency and use their abilities to understand and improve our world. NF types, or “idealists”, are naturally drawn to helping improve and inspire people. They are filled with good will and kindness and have a unique talent for helping others work together.
Who Am I: SP Temperaments (ISTP, ESTP, ISFP, ESFP). Known as the “activators”, or “artisans”, SP types are action-oriented risk takers who love working with their hands. They’re great thinking on their feet and believe life should be fun and exciting.
Episode 7: Who Am I: SJ Temperaments (ISTJ, ESTJ, ISFJ, ESFJ). Described as “security seeking”, SJ types are traditional, dependable, and hard-working. They are loyal partners and stable leaders. They perform a lot of thankless jobs that other types take for granted.
Everyone has little giveaways that may reveal their personality types. Recognizing different personality types can help you influence, improve relationships, and communicate more effectively.

Nature vs. nurture is one of the oldest debates in the field of psychology. Recent studies indicate that personality is more nuanced and complex than previously believed, and personality can – and does – change over time. Is this because that we humans have the collective experiences of our ancestors merged into our genes, or is it because of our environments – our culture, religion, or childhood interactions?
