I invite Andrew aka AJ Vinci, a Christian artist, to join me in chatting about what it’s like to invite God into the messiness that is our lives. He shares personal experiences and analogies to explain the importance of God in his life and we discuss our love for God and the reasons behind it.  AJ emphasizes the need for genuine relationships with God and the dangers of seeking temporary satisfaction in worldly pleasures. He also discusses the importance of humility and the impact of music in edifying others. He highlights the significance of warning and confronting others in order to lead them away from wickedness and towards God's love and grace.  In this conversation, he also discusses the importance of differentiating warning from confrontation emphasizing that warning is a more calm and loving way of correcting someone's behavior, while confrontation can come across as aggressive and judgmental. We go on to look into the biblical definition of humility, rather than the secular version, highlighting that humility involves trusting God, obeying His word, and allowing Him to lift you up. Additionally, AJ encourages listeners to embrace the full journey of humbling themselves and experiencing God's elevation. Takeaways Love God because He loves you through your imperfections. Without God, you will always feel like something is missing. Seek God in times of imperfection and repentance. Genuine relationships with God require humility and authenticity. Temporary satisfaction in worldly pleasures is fleeting and unsatisfying. Fulfillment and healing can be found in God's plan. Music can be a powerful tool for edification and spreading God's message. She describes how coming out of the pandemic forced her to destroy her prior outlook on self-care and start from scratch.  We also touch on practical self-care tips for anger management and communicating your values and boundaries.  Disclaimer: This episode was previously recorded in 2021, coming out of the pandemic but is still relevant today. A solo episode, unlike other episodes. Dom had a series of revelations on her recent trip to Waterloo, Ontario. It was poetic and vulnerable, which took her by surprise. She uses this season finale to convey the essence of this drive via storytelling so it’s possible for you to follow along as if you were there. If there’s one thing she’d like you to get from this story is a reminder that sometimes we just need a little alone time in a new environment to be in awe of life again. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/life-on-hifi/message
Imagine a simple life where you live off the land and have little to no technology. Much like my grandparents, for a portion of her life, Rita grew up with almost nothing in Rwanda. She would have never imagined her life now, speaking English and living in Toronto. We met at an upcoming modelling agency where today she is a beauty queen, show host of the Cyper Show, humanitarian, activist, speaker— but she is so much more than that. This episode is for YOU, if you want to get into the mind of someone who will do whatever it takes to carve their own path. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/life-on-hifi/message
