LOVE: 28-DAY CHALLENGE #1 H.A.L.T. and Call for BackupCoast to Coast with Mike Koch and Jim McLintockPositive Connections Radio: S-1 E-19 PCR E-88In order to make positive changes in your life it's wise to start making a change today. This is the 28-Day Challenge.28-DAY CHALLENGE GOALS: We’ll have a podcast at the beginning of every month for 9 months and talk about the following principles; (1) LOVE, (2) JOY, (3) PEACE, (4) PATIENCE, (5) KINDNESS, (6) GOODNESS, (7) GENTLENESS, (8) FAITHFULNESS, (9) SELF-CONTROL.Self awareness-Self LOVE. What are you doing right this minute? Are your hands grasping the steering wheel? Are you clenching your teeth? What are you doing and not being aware of it? Here are some steps to train your brain to think better and as a result you will begin to find self-love. All we need is ONE DEGREE of change. Absorb the concept of your inner self: We have an inner voice that is telling us negative things and this creates chaos and thus an internal battle within ourselves. This voice has been with you always and just wants some empathy and grace but we don’t realize this until now. Start with wanting to be a friend to yourself. How would you talk to a friend?Imagine what it would be like to begin talking to yourself with respect: Instead of fighting back, running away or finding something to make it all go away. Ask this voice to listen and do this with LOVE.Act the next time your inner self tells you things that are unhealthy, rude and disrespectful. Realize that these thoughts are not true. Use this simple sentence. “Excuse me brain, I'd rather not think about that, thank you.” Your inner-self/brain will pause because this will likely be the first time you've talked to yourself with kindness, with love. Tell your brain, “I understand what's happening and I chose not to believe you and I'd rather not think these thoughts. Instead I'm going to think about something that makes me feel happy." It takes practice and might be uncomfortable and embarrasing somehow. Don't stress, no one will hear you, they can't, it's you.The Courage to Stand Up and Speak Your Truth.
