Jesus explains, in this chapter, that the reason why God repeatedly prunes us is so that we can bear finer and richer fruit. In Sunday's sermon, Aaron demonstrated how circumstances in which we feel underqualified can be incredibly valuable opportunities to grow. All we need to do is be available, and God will handle the rest.
