This episode was recorded at the OurCrowd Summit in Jerusalem with the tremendously talented HiPitched and Hash Creative team Avital and Yarin. (Both creative marketing powerhouses!) We spoke about building an agency, finding clients, fostering creativity, cannabis, and opportunity. This is a fantastic episode and would add a lot of value for anyone building an agency, or working in the creative space. They also have one of the coolest business cards I've seen!
This episode hosts Somi Arian, Founder of Smart Cookie Media, Author, and tech philosopher. Somi talks about her drive, finding a calling, and the future of work. Interestingly, this was recorded before lockdown - the predictions are fascinating. I absolutely loved recording this with Somi, she's an absolute force of nature. This is the documentary that Somi and I discussed - well, well worth watching! Here is a link to 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck' that was mentioned. This episode hosts Joy Burnford, founder and director of myconfidencematters, and all-round awesome person.  We spoke about public speaking, organizational structure, empowering women and minorities, and 'family meeting'. Joy's insights are fantastic and I highly recommend listening to this before public speaking, interviewing, asking for a raise, or going into a big meeting - there are so many pearls of wisdom here. This episode hosts Dan Stein, founder of HiPE Property Search, where we talk about the process of celebrity property search, the art of making good introductions, networking tips, and discuss the 'call vs. email debate'. It was awesome having Dan on the podcast, he's charisma and excitement for what he does is infectious. Be sure to subscribe, and let me know your thoughts on Twitter @benjudah. This episode hosts Justine Zwerling - Head of Primary Markets Israel at London Stock Exchange Group, where we explore the Israeli ecosystem, the journey to listing on the exchange, 'Challah-bonds', and an amazing list of impressive women. It was phenomenal to have Justine on the podcast, and she is truly an amazing person - to the extent that she was recognised in Yahoo!'s 'HERoes Top 50 Future Women Leaders' list this year. Justine mentions 'Getting to Equal: Career Confidence and the Path to Leadership' - which can be found here, and I strongly recommend you check it out. I'm the unqualified expert - these are my thoughts on things I'm just not qualified to talk about. I'll be posting every week on a different topic that has been bouncing round my head, but for the first episode, I'm going to talk retail. In my life I have only spent a couple of months working on the shop floor of a clothing shop, but I've had a burning idea for a clothing retail company for some time. I'd love to hear a qualified person's feedback, and I'll feature top commenters in my next episode.
Jason and I caught up on what it means to be a (great) VP People, how and why disruptive companies should think about their behaviour, and people and workplace culture.    A little about Jason; "I realised early in my career that I wasn't born to do work that means nothing to me."    - Corporate Law escapee  - People & Talent leader who co-builds human-centric startups  - Speaker, Panelist & Writer  - Founder radically re-imagining culture in the workplace and beyond   Then: People Guy @ Huckletree. People Guy @ Casper before that. People Guy @ WeWork *before* before that!   Now: Founder @ Black Unicorn. VP, People @ Girlfriend Collective. Ambassador @ Huckletree. Mentor @ Backstage Capital."   To get in touch with me, feel free to reach out on Twitter @BenJudah!
