Success is not automatic Check out the FREE Seven Levels of Creative Media Downloadable Guide at https://mustincrease.com One of the greatest hindrances to effective marketing is believing the lie that your media can be put on auto-pilot. But is this true for any other area at your church? Can you just assume that the bathrooms will automatically stay clean? Or that the sound system will just work? Or that your sermon will just write itself? Without the right procedures in place, none of this just happens. We look at the final of the Seven Levels in this episode of the Must Increase Podcast and discuss the importance of always adjusting and improving in the ever-changing space of creative media. Ensuring your new idea is fully implemented Check out the FREE Seven Levels of Creative Media Downloadable Guide at https://mustincrease.com Let’s say you’ve dug in and done the work to develop messaging that is clear and centric to who you are trying to reach. You’ve spent hours working with a designer to create all the aspects of your visual identity. Then next Sunday you find that the bulletin is still loaded with insider church jargon and sports blinding neon colors, Comic Sans typeface, and classic Windows ‘98 clip art. When it comes to any aspect of your media, you will face circumstances like this. The transitional phase after introducing a new logo, website, etc. involves a learning curve for others as well as potential resistance from some. You will have to take steps to enforce your new brand to see full implementation of your idea. This episode of the Must Increase Podcast features level 6 of the Seven Levels as we discuss the essential component of making your brand the new standard at our church. Making a powerful first impression Check out the FREE Seven Levels of Creative Media Downloadable Guide at https://mustincrease.com You have probably driven by a restaurant that appeared to be run down and thought, “That place is gross; I’ll never eat there.” You never took the time to ask someone who had been there or look the Yelp reviews. For all you know, it may serve award-winning local cuisine, but that doesn’t matter. Regardless of how truly amazing the restaurant may be, your initial perception of that place has forever cemented your reality that it’s gross. Even if your church’s messaging is clear and understandable, you must ensure that it makes a powerful first impression on those who need it. You have to manage the perception of others through visual communication that meets the same standard of excellence as the One who makes your message so impactful. Level 5 of the Seven Levels is all about the visual representation of your church and is our topic on this episode of the Must Increase Podcast. Crafting a message that communicates value Check out the FREE Seven Levels of Creative Media Video Series at https://mustincrease.com Have you ever gotten into a conversation with someone who is too smart for you? You know, like the technician you called to fix your internet who used big techy words the whole time you were on the phone, but you could care less as long as you can just use WiFi again. After the call, you’re confused and hope you never have to speak to him again . A lot of unchurched people perceive your church in the same way you do that technician. Too many churches are using confusing messaging in our marketing. Some claim their communication is cute and clever when it’s truthfully just confusing. Others expect the outside to learn the language only understood by those already inside. Many believe that as long as they have trendy designs and popping videos, the specifics of their message really doesn’t matter. All of these approaches are not only incorrect, but they are detrimental to effective outreach. As we explore the fourth of the Seven Levels, this episode of the Must Increase Podcast is all about an essential paradigm shift you must have in order to take your outreach to the next level. Great Idea - Action Plan = Epic Fail Check out the FREE Seven Levels of Creative Media Video Series at https://mustincrease.com Let’s look at an all-too-common scenario amongst most visionary leaders. The leader thinks up that Game-changing Idea. The leader pitches Game-changing Idea to his team. The meeting gets pumped to see how Game-changing Idea is going to change everything. And in as little as 1 month, Game-changing Idea is dead. What went wrong with this scenario? Who dropped the ball? Was Game-changing Idea really not that great after all? The core issue here is that both the leader and the team believed a popular deception– thinking ahead is not the same as acting ahead. We’ve all been deceived like this before whish is why a great idea is nothing without a solid plan. We discuss planning to succeed as we dive into Level 3 of the Seven Levels in the latest episode of the Must Increase Podcast. Next level results require next level commitment Check out the FREE Seven Levels of Creative Media Video Series at https://mustincrease.com No matter what you set out to do, every endeavor eventually presents a challenge that serves as the moment that defines your ultimate success or failure. Many times, the problem is not if a good or bad decision was made, but rather that no decision was made at all. After all, a decision to not move forward is in all actuality a decision to step backward. Level 2 of the Seven Levels is the one that most leaders get stuck on or never see through because it involves a new level of commitment. You’re no longer just researching or experimenting; you are actually making a serious investment of time, energy, and resources into making your ideas come to life. In this episode, we discuss the crucial part of the Seven Level process that will make or break the achievement of your goal. For the majority of churches and ministries, having a full time staff member solely dedicated to handling all of the  media needs of the church is just a dream. Too often a church's media needs such as print materials, branding and keeping the church website current can all fall by the wayside due to lack of staff and other components of ministry that are considered a higher priority. Church media can simply be overwhelming, but have you ever considered outsourcing? In this episode, we talk to Joel Norris of Franklin Road Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee as he shares his experience on outsourcing and shows how outsourcing could be the best option for your church media.  THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING AND SHARING! A new term -- “phygital” -- has been created to describe the conversion from pure physical church services to the hybrid physical and digital style of church we now see. Although this may make some nervous, this change has allowed many churches to reach hundreds, if not thousands, of people that they could not reach before. Instead of looking to return to what used to be normal, why not ask yourself what your ministry could do to embrace this new “phygital” age?   Pre-recorded services? Livestream? Zoom? There are many approaches to creating this new “phygital” space for us to engage with our congregations. On this episode Luke Clayton is joined by Josh Irmler to walk you through best practices for church in this new age of digital community.     Produced by the team at Must Increase, Inc.
The past few months have acted as a reset button for society, individual families, businesses, and churches. While this has been difficult for churches especially, it has also provided opportunity. We have talked to church leaders throughout this pandemic who have told me that they have used the shutdown as a reason to make long-needed changes to many areas of ministry that have not been updated in years, if not decades.   Join Luke Clayton for the first installment of Reboot, a brand new series from Church MediaHq that focuses on establishing a new normal for church during a pandemic in the digital age. Luke discusses why this time of uncertainty can be viewed as an opportunity for rest, restoration, and maybe even a hard reset for ministry. It may be time to upgrade your online church experience or even start an online church service. The options and opportunities are endless.  We equip church leaders to maximize their impact through the power of communication.
