Kate so elegantly introduces the concept of a needs and feelings list, which is a now ubiquitous self-help tool that was originally developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D founder of the Non-Violent Communication movement. In today's episode, Kate 1) first gets the listener centered in their present moment experience, 2) normalizes the common conundrum of not having learned an extensive emotional vocabulary growing up, 3) reminds the listener that yes, you have needs and feelings, and it behooves your personal development and relationships to understand those needs and feelings and to learn how to respond to them. Listen in for Kate's unique perspective on the importance and use of this tool. Following Nat's Accessing the Well episode in which she shared her fave boundary-setting tip in professional settings, Kate said, "Great!" and then understandably asked, "But what about in our most intimate relationships. How do we do that?" This started a conversation about: 1) how boundaries are not only what we say "no" to, but also what we say "yes" to, 2) how to set boundaries around our space, time, energy and money, 3) asking for our needs to be honored in intimate relationships, 4) seeing boundaries as something that are good for everyone, and ultimately give us more freedom and enjoyment in our relationships. We hope you learn something. As always, take what works and leave what doesn't. Until next time, be well. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/infinitewell/message

In today's episode, we walk you through the 4 principles for personal freedom so beautifully outlined in the book "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. If we had to come up with required reading for the world, this personal development classic would be high on the list. We give our take on each agreement and how we integrate these lessons in our own lives and in our healing work with clients. We dive right into 1) the power of language to not only describe, but also to create, our realities, 2) the opportunity that lies between a stimulus and our behavioral response, 3) the importance of self-compassion and loving redirection in personal growth work and 4) our capacity to better understand others by cultivating curiosity. We’re back with another Accessing the Well segment — shorter episodes that guide you through our favorite self-care practices that connect you to your inner wisdom. You’re either feeding love or fear. 03:46 Please don’t ask why it’s so important to be present. Hello again wonderful souls! Today’s episode — though recorded before this global awakening hit — is surprisingly a propos. I give BIG TIME permission to taking media breaks early and often. Yes, that means not watching the news, taking a break from social media and even reducing podcast listening, WHAT!? Yes, I know, it seems counterintuitive, but even personal development podcasts are media and taking a media break is all about reducing stimulation and outside sources of information. Some of the tips in this episode include: 1) Why we need to take media breaks from time to time because of our evolution, 2) Identify the sources of media that are most overwhelming to you, 3) Figure out how to pare them down by either changing up routines or creating deterrents to media consumption, 4) Talk to friends about taking a break to get social support and 5) Find alternative activities to replace outside information with internal insights. Let us know what you think! I know this is a controversial topic and many will disagree. We want to hear your opinions! Please follow us on IG @infinite.well and share in the comments or in a DM so we can keep the conversation flowing. Until next time, enjoy Accessing the Well. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/infinitewell/message

Yeah, I thought so! In this meditation/short talk you'll learn what a meditative anchor is and why you need one. ⚓️ You'll be guided through each of the four most common meditative anchors to help you find your best fit: 1️⃣ breath — the movement of the in-breath and the out-breath 2️⃣ tactile — physical sensations of temperature and texture on the skin 3️⃣ visual — focusing on the colors and shape of a visual object 4️⃣ auditory — taking in all the sounds around you, near and far If you're newer to meditation, this episode is guaranteed to bring your meditation practice to the next level. If you're a seasoned meditator, this will provide gentle reminders and keep you committed to your practice.
