Self-care was lacking when I moved into a new place.
Decision to move after 17 years, trying to manage stress and mood disruption, fell into rabbit hole laced with THC for couple weeks, staying true to self-care.
Stress of relationships and stability that comes from good ones; intrusive thoughts, autopilot thinking: causes and helps, benefits of meds and therapy; and how we are all on a bipolar spectrum.
Good articles I’ve read and recommend to help with depressive episodes and hopefully help motivate you to exercise.
A weeks’ long depression is so much better than one that lasts months, but it still has challenges to overcome.
Our recovery paths are not linear. There are still obstacles to overcome. Recognize warning signs and take responsibility for words and actions. Believe in yourself, things do get better.
Take meds as prescribed, be honest with your doc, avoid at all costs things you know are harmful to your mood and life.
Meds are not the only answer to bipolar episodes. But the right meds and right doses are critical to good mental health.

A manic episode 2 years ago that changed my life: I am now vigilant about my mental health and practice self-care every day.

Meditation is probably not what you think it is: you create your own meditation space the way YOU want to do it. Lower your stress, your anxiety and improve mood stability.

Why being present at holidays is a present: for our friends and relatives and for us. Ways that we can have enjoyable and memorable holidays.
