Why stay as you are if there is greatness in change?
The aftermath of anything has a certain stigma attached to it. it generally connoctates that something terrible just happened. well, in my case, it did. i ran with pain, cramps, and was lost in my head. π¬ here is the last thing I'm going to say about the Frankfurt Marathon this year. π
if it's not for my strong kind and determination.... I'd probably would have dropped off the Frankfurt marathon...
here is what happened before and during...

Ever heard that runners carb-load before a race? Well, I think this whole thing should be renamed. we don't only need carbs, we need everything. Come to my kitchen a few days before the Frankfurt marathon to hear some of the goodness I give my body and why... ππ₯¨π₯¦ππΎββοΈ

I never thought I'd live to see this. History was made. Eliud Kipchoge did it! he broke the 2 hour Barrier. He was challenged to run the Ineos159challenge in the Vienna Marathon... and he completed it in 1:59:40!!! that is insane time! here more about how he did it in this episode and the lessons we all take home with us.
Sometimes pain is good and very good. When running, pushing through that pain barrier makes you stronger. Embrace it and push through that threshold. when you break that barrier once, you will find it easier and less painful next time.
It does not matter how many times you do it... when you gotta do it again... you still need to prepare mentally for it... AND physically, of course. remember that long runs come with risks that can be mitigated by using the right fuel! ππΎββοΈπ
Prevent a catastrophe! Low sodium in the blood can be deadly. So make sure you are taking care of yourself!
who says you can't have it all?
Since I spent the summer building the Fabulous WomEntrepreneurs Academy, surviving Dorian, and entertaining my kids... I broke away from social media...
I realized how important it is to shut off and shut down in order to forge ahead...
BUT RUNNING... running is at the epicenter of my life... and no matter what, that never stops. And if you learn to love running, you too will find the time and the way to get those runs done.. :)

Most runners I know hardly get sick. But we could be walking on a fine line during hard training season. Our good ol' body sends us signals. Are we listening?
If we are not, it's very easy to feel the wrath of overtraining. This episode adresses the signs of overtraining and what to do in order not to fall pray to the symptoms of hard training!
