Microsoft Translator is a fantastic free app that has four wonderful feature embedded within it! There is voice recording, conversations, camera feature that to translate menus to your language while travelling and keyboard typing as well. From being able to access a phrase book with essentials, travel destination sentences, dining, lodging and so much more, to being able to send via social media, text and even OneNote! Teachers can set students reading levels, ages and interest categories to open vast libraries of digital books and novels for primary, junior and intermediate classrooms. Teachers can created Guided Groups and share novels and whatnot to each group. Students can set Challenges with peers, track books read, hours and pages as well. Today is a HUGE day in Detroit Red WIng World! Our Captian; Steve Yzerman is back!! Within this episode I talk about the inspiring story of recreating oneself that Yzerman had to take to turn his game around to become a Stanley Cup Champion! When he walked away from hockey in 2006 and retired he became assistant general manager, then....spent many years in Tampa Bay and today he signed a deal bringing him back to Detroit as the General Manager. Just like how Detroit became Hockeytown, the dream franchise....Microsoft regrouped, rejunvented itself into a powerful force! Recently bringing in Flipgrid to its dynamic force of a O365 Suite! The future looks bright with Yzerman at the helm in Detroit things look amazing and after spending a week in Paris at the #E2 2019 conference the possibilities are limitless with Microsoft! Last night I was watching hockey with my 8 year old son. The game we were watching became very heated...reffing aside there was an incident that sparked an intense conversation I had with my son regarding ‘Respect’ for others, self and teammates! This episode was totally a spur of the, ‘Teachable Moment’ that has so many real life implications! Would love to hear people’s thoughts about this one! This episode I share the trek from Port Dover, Ontario, Canada...to Toronto Airport with my wife on route to Paris, France. Some take aways and insights into travelling and taking risks. all included! Flight, touch down and trouble a plenty....but relax your now in Paris! Things about about to get exciting now! I also share how Skype allowed me to provide an experience of a lifetime for my students back home and my own kids too, right up close with the Eiffel Tower! Wow, talk about one heck of a killer event!! This was a dynamite learning experience in one of the most beautiful cities in the World!! March 14th was an incredible day! Three astronauts were launched into space from Russia, two of which attempted to go to space in October of 2018 but had complications after the rocket took off....today they overcome fears, barriers and made it to space!
