Too often relevant IT skills are not aligned with proper training and company/agency requirements. Who ever came up with the scheme to make commercial certifications, along with internally developed training, a requirement is a genius. You have to be motivated and eager to learn, but this advice has no age limit, racial boundary or religious preference, all there is to it is to do it.
