Sharks are everywhere and relatively inshore making this target fishing a fun, easy and less daunting as compared to canyon trips for Pelagic species.  In this podcast, we discuss our first shark fishing experience from the Sea Hunt 234 Ultra.  We talk about equipment, setup, preparations and bait used to hopefully land a nice Thresher or Mako! We departed from Sunset Marina in Ocean City, Maryland in search of a big fight with a shark.
Our first tuna fishing trip in the Sea Hunt 234 Ultra to the Poorman’s canyon was a success. We ran a 7 rod tuna spread using Sterling Wide Trackers and bars, Mid-Atlantic Sportsman chains and Joe Shute lures. Landed several skipjack tuna and a 36” bluefin tuna.
As we gear up for a new boat, we are also gearing up for our first full season with offshore capabilities to fish for pelagics.  So in this episode we give the run down of our gear, rigs and spread based off of 7 rods.  Our target will yellow fin and blue fin tuna, mahi and wahoo.  This seven rod spread will be our base and certainly will change as the season progresses and we will also look to chunk for tuna later in the season.  We welcome your feedback as this is still new for us.  If you are new as well, hopefully this sparks some ideas.
We welcome Dave Twardowski back to the podcast as we highlight various topics when going offshore with a small boat.  Fishing offshore in a small boat is very efficient and affordable yet has limitations. Dave discusses how he plans for a trip in his 23 foot Sportsman Open 232CC as well as safety items, rigging, and various fishing spreads.  Enjoy and see you on the water soon!
Today we feature another East Coast fisherman! Tom Patania joins us for our Angler Spotlight as he shares his love for saltwater fishing.  Tom is a great fisherman and full of wisdom yet emphasizes the need to build a network in the fishing community.  He shares with tips, tricks, rigs and great stories including his recent swordfish catch.
We welcome back Dave Twardowski of The Mid-Atlantic Sportsman.  He shares with us the various products he offers for inshore and offshore fishing as well as helpful tips and tricks on rigging, tackle and technique.
For our first official "Angler Spotlight" we feature Dave Twardowski from Dover, Delaware.  A seasoned saltwater inshore and offshore angler talks about his beginnings, experiences and tips for new folks into the saltwater fishing world.  Dave also operates The Mid-Atlantic Sportsman, which offers great quality inshore and offshore fishing lures and rigs.  Be sure to check them out at www.themidatlanticsportsman.com

Also shout outs to long time supporters such as Durabrite Lights, Mid-Atlantic Sportsman, EcoxGear and Cove & Creek Outfitters.
