It's the beginning of the year!! We all have plans, some of us have vision boards, new planners and a list of goals we want to accomplish. I have some of these things too. As I started this year I found myself running around trying to figure out what MY plan would be for this year. And I kept coming up empty. I mean there were so many ideas, so many goals, so many plans that finally I said: "Wait a minute!" What does God want me to do? I don't know about you but I definitely had my scrooge hat on this month. This year has been hard! Some moments have just been down right painful. And really put a damper on my holiday spirit, but I was reminded that having a fulfilling life requires us to do things that fulfill us. Life can present so many heartaches, so many let downs, so many seasons that can leave us barely hanging on. Yet, we still have to rise above if we are going to "live our best lives". I had a conversation with someone weeks ago, and they expressed that they thought I was really good at handling the letdowns of life. I got this sense that they thought I was this superwoman or something. Because believe me I'm not. I begin to think about how my faith and the memories of past blessings have really helped shape my ability to rise above. I hope these tips help you as you navigate through difficult seasons of life.
