Congratulations to Supuru Miyata for winning it all, and to all the dancers that battled it out at our New York City Jacks dance battle in February. We look forward to having NYC Jacks back to Play It Loud in April. Special thanks to both Jaze-Art Remote and P-Funk! All the proceeds for January's Play It Loud were donated to the UNICEF Haiti Relief fund, and with so many quality parties happening that night, we couldn't have been happier with the turnout. It was an amazing night of disco, donations and decadence, and we look forward to pushing the pedal this year! Special thanks to our new wizard-of-visuals, Mr. Gabriel Comrie-Pepin. New Years Eve was an all out blast! And it wouldn't have been possible without everyone at Public Assembly, Renegade Project for the thunderous sound system, Gabriel Comrie-Pepin for the visuals, Morgan Geist for jumping on the decks with the residents, and most of all YOU! December's New York City Jacks House Dance Battle was incredible! Two-thirds of the Play It Loud trio brought their New York Downtown-Disco flair to the decadent, beach-dwelling, under dressed masses in Miami on Halloween night! PIL's very own Doug Gomez of Drrtyhaze and Henry Maldonado (aka Son Of Sound) delivered a soundtrack of late 70s Disco, early 80s Boogie Funk, Italo-disco gems, and New York Fun House classics. The musical bed created a comfy place to lay the 1970s porn-themed Halloween bash "The Other Hollywood", located at The Aware House; downtown Miami's live music venue / artist gallery / nightclub.
