A banker from Dunfermline's telling us how a pair of Apple earphones helped him deliver baby Emilie, when his wife Hayley went into labour eight weeks early. He told Forth News what happened immediately after Emilie's arrival.

The owner of one of Edinburgh's last independent music venues is telling Forth News he believes live music in the capital is being "shunned". John McWilliams, who runs the Liquid Rooms, says there is no longer any belief in the scene. It comes after the recent closure of venues such as the Caley Picture House and Electric Circus. He says if things don't pick up he worries for the future of his venue:

The search continues for missing French student Antoine Maury almost one week on from his disappearance. The search for 21-year-old is focused around the Holyrood Park area of Edinburgh and hundreds of locals joined police yesterday to help look for him.
