The long awaited, probably forgotten, but much talked about Honda Gold Wing video podcast from the Brap Talk Motorcycle Podcast. Hey, it only took us two years to publish it! Of note, we talk a bit about the luggage situation on the 2018 Honda Gold Wing Tour, and thankfully since the release of this show, Honda has increased the luggage size of the top box and it now fits two helmets. Also, this is our first stab at a video podcast - God willing, our future attempts will be a little bit better and a little bit more timely. It was a learning experience. Thanks for watching! Big thanks to American Honda for letting us keep the Gold Wing Tour for way, way too long. Also thanks to Arai Helmets and Sena for sending us some gear - we couldn't have made the show without their help. Another weekly installment of the Brap Talk Motorcycle Podcast sees Jensen and Shahin talking about the new MotoGP Unlimited series, the return of the KTM 790 Duke, the debuts of the Honda Dax and Honda Hawk11 abroad, and what makes a sport-touring bike a sport-touring bike. It's a fun show. Enjoy!
It's been a while, but don't worry - we'll catch you up on everything that's happened in the motorcycle industry.
Welcome to 2022! It's a new year, but the same Brap Talk motorcycle podcast. Enjoy!
In this episode, we accidentally talk about a bunch of electric motorcycles that have recently hit the motorcycle industry. We start things off with Harley-Davidson taking the Livewire public on the New York Stock Exchange. From there, we look at Ducati's reveal of its MotoE electric race bike. Next up, there is a new startup, Stark Future, making a very promising electric MX bike. Lastly, we finish with California cracking down on emissions from small motors, like those found on gas generators. This all makes for an interesting conversation about the future of the motorcycle industry, and the rise of electric motorcycle offerings from two-wheeled manufacturers.
If you thought we talked a lot about Ducati before this episode, then you haven't seen anything yet! Get your beverages ready, and come along for the ride, as Jensen is back from the Panigale V4 S launch in Spain and the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak launch in Palm Springs, to discuss what it's like riding these two bikes. We also cover the debut of the Ducati DesertX, and why Shahin put some of his hard-earned podcasting dollars on this new ADV bike. Other topics include the news of a Bimota "Tesi" adventure bike with a supercharged motor and hub-center steering, as well as some discussion about the zen of riding a motorcycle. A big, Big, BIG thank you to everyone that signed up for an A&R Pro account recently - you are aces in our book!
In this episode of the Brap Talk motorcycle podcast, Jensen and Shahin sit down for a debrief on the 2021 EICMA show. They discuss the bikes that debuted in Italy, and how the Milan trade show will never be the same.
Episode 80 - Lost in Time

Episode 80 - Lost in Time

2021-12-0901:40:39

Stuck in customs from flying to Europe twice in two weeks, the lost Episode 80 covers two bike launches: the Ducati Streetfighter V2 and the Aprilia Tuareg 660. Both bikes were incredibly good, but cause some interesting ripples in their respective classes. We also cover the debut of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP, news of MV Agusta's adventure bikes, questionable moves by Triumph UK's apparel division, and the adorable Honda Navi.
When the Shahin is away, the Jensen will play. Off to Sardinia to ride the new Aprilia Tuareg 660, Jensen got a chance to sit down with Aprilia brand manager Cristian Barelli to discuss the birth of the company's 660 platform, and its return to the dual-sport arena.
It is new bike season, so come join Jensen Beeler and Shahin Alvandi in their talks about the new Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Pike, the updated BMW K-bikes, the Honda NT1100 for Europe, and the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO for the USA. We also mourn the passing of Paul Smart, and wish his family and friends the best.
The often talked about, but never aired, lost Cory West interview is now available for your two-wheeled loving hearts. We ask Cory the important questions, like why his fiancée has a Wikipedia page and he doesn't.
Buckle up kids, it's time for another weekly installment from the Church of Brapistan. Today's sermon includes a conversation about bold new naming; why it's good to be beautiful, but better to be cheap; and why it's always best to tell the truth. On the motorcycle front, we look at the Ducati Multistrada V2, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, Triumph Tiger Sport 660, retro bikes, and the budding EV market.

In this episode, you better buckle up for an hour of Jensen and Shahin talking about Ducati's upcoming 2022 models, including the DesertX and Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. From there, it's more Italian bikes, as we ogle the MV Agusta F3 RR and how it is adapting to the upcoming WorldSSP rules for next season. We also look at the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, and have some thoughts on this sport-tourer that might surprise you. It's a fun show, give it a listen!
Episode 74 - Out of Order

Episode 74 - Out of Order

2021-09-2401:32:37

More than you ever wanted to know about vehicle financing, our show starts off with the question of whether Harley-Davidson's financial services is the Bar & Shield brand's secret weapon. Next, we look at Ducati's not-so-secret Streetfighter V2, which we expect to see later this year. From there, we look at the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR and the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello. There are plenty of rabbit holes along the way, and generally it's a fun and entertaining episode. Enjoy!
An omnibus show, Jensen and Shahin start with a discussion about the upcoming Triumph Tiger Sport 660, which then quickly devolves into a roundup about their most favorite and collectible motorcycles. From there, the show takes a pause (courtesy of the Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tire) and come back with a ride review of the BMW R18 B and BMW R18 Transcontinental, and what the Germans got right and wrong with these new bikes.
Episode 72 - Half-Speed

Episode 72 - Half-Speed

2021-08-1801:15:52

In this episode we discuss the teaser debut of the Aprilia Tuareg 660, and what it means for the adventure bike market. That leads us into a larger discussion about the ADV space and what makes a bike an adventure bike (or not), including some frank talk about Ural sidecars. We also talk about the retirement announcement of Valentino Rossi, and whether or not MotoGP will be coming to Austin this year. It's a lively show, with no shortage of opinions - we think you'll enjoy it.
What makes American motorcycling unique? That's the ongoing question in this episode, as we look at BMW's new R18 motorcycles, which take on the bagger and dresser offerings from Harley-Davidson. We also look at rumors of new Ducati's on the horizon, and our electric future.
