On today's session of the Cubicle Renegade podcast I'm joined by Paul Jarvis, a web designer and author. In this episode we talk about how he went from working at a design firm to freelancing and how all his clients followed him. We also talk about why he doesn't follow what other designers are doing around the web, books himself as a client to work on personal projects, and what matters most about the design of your website.
He also gives a ton of insight into how to work with a designer on a website or work with a client if you are a designer.

Paul Jarvis is a web designer and a writer. He talked with Adam about life in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, as well as business, staying booked, writing and his secret to staying energized and avoiding burnout.
Web designer and author, Paul Jarvis talks to us about his popular book, Be Awesome at Online Business and tells us how to get noticed online without advertising. He shares about his upcoming book, Everything I know, which is about following your passion (due to be out January 2014). We talk failed startups, client work, building lasting relationships, and rats. The kind with long tails.
In this episode I dig into the art of lifestyle design with Paul Jarvis. Paul is a fellow Canadian (so that means we both mispronounce a lot of words) who lives in Victoria British Columbia. He is a website developer and author who works with creative entrepreneurs and teaches people how to leverage their creativity to produce really cool stuff. We get into some things like how he became an accidental entrepreneur, why he uses his own name as his brand and why he signs all the websites he designs.
