DNDS20041114.mp3 [10.5mb (21:56) 64kbps] show #33: dawn's back in wisconsin and we're trying to get back into the swing of normal show production. except for the fact that garageband is starting to choke on me. out of nowhere it starts clicking in our headsets and then a couple of times it just stops recording and errors out with something about the hard drive being too slow, or there's too many tracks or notes for it to continue. has anyone else had these kinds of errors?? the only thing i'm doing different is that i'm recording in stereo instead of mono, could that be it? i'm also suspicious that because these garageband file are so large that it was running out of space to continue recording without complaining. i wonder how much space is needed for it to record in peace. anyone know that too? i'm burning off all of our older garageband original files to gain more hard drive space and i'll go back to mono and hope for the best... i may also try using soundtrack instead. so if you notice a couple of times where the sound drops out, that's where i had to actually stop recording, save the file, quit garageband and relaunch it and then pick up where we left off. not very conducive to a conversation. i'll be ironing out the kinks so that we can keep doing the show... minutia: 00:38 now in stereo 00:57 dawn's back in wicsonsin 01:38 WCSD shout out 03:39 plant death :( 05:00 dawn's frisco stories 07:50 long islands are ghetto 08:19 city hate 09:30 lusty lady peep show 14:03 rudy the drunk homeless man 16:30 onion breath 16:54 ground beef fetish 18:28 garageband issues 20:20 all shows are available again 21:13 miss melba toast

Yesterday the BBC dropped by (for 7 hours) to tape a piece about Podcasting for The Culture Show on BBC2. To really appreciate the final product (hopefully someone will tape it) you have to have the 'source code' to parts of the interview and podcast demonstration. That's what's on today's voyeuristic Source Code. 24 minutes 11 mb mp3
