Good evening. Once again, we did our show that w do about horror films. No Seth Rogan impression. This week myself and Jason Milward were joined by the always fantastic, Colette Benette - editor in chief of Tomopop.com as well as a completely great person who never fails to entrtain on podcasts. At least last Thursday, she wrote an article about the film Antichrist, and this week we bring her in for a long discussion of what the film means. I still can't quite figure it out, but I know that the movie terrifies me utterly in every way that something can. I really wish I knew what that chaos riegns fox meant, but I tried to bring my two cents to the table during the conversation and not just be color commentary. I loved it. It was a great time, and is our best show yet! Movies mentioned! The show 24 and Lost Boys Hellraiser 2: Hellbound The Hunger - The David Bowie vampire movie! Near Dark - The one with Bill Paxton as a vampire! Black Christmas Lost Highway and Eraserhead are brought up Main film: ANTICHRIST I admit to being the killer in the movie Black Christmas, time travel. When Colette shows up, I make her cackle with laughter. Blood isn't the only thing he'd suck either, just saying. We talk about Colette, the geek queen of all new media. [soucre] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soda_Popinski Antit-christ discussion makes up the rest of the hour. Eraserhead is a living nightmare, a little bit of David Lynch things happen. The girlfriend's reaction to the Excorcist and the old avant gaurde night on Cinimax are brought up. Mentions of Colette's site, our next week's show topic (Feast 1 & 2) and thank yous. Did we record the podcast? Real life horror, caught on tape!
Good evening. Josh Hayes here, posting the Randomhorror podcast episode six includes a talk about Leslie Nielson's horror work as well as a mention of his sci fi classic, Foribidden Planet. We talk about movies we watched this week: The Mist, See the Sea, briefly mention Gentlemen Broncos, Feast came up somehow, and talk about our upcoming episode all about the film Antichrist. Our main movie to discuss this week, Wes Craven's 1984 film, A Nightmare on Elm Street. I also bust out that fantastic Seth Rogan impression I do, which doesn't impress nearly as much as my running in the halls girl from Nightmare. Such a great film, and we plan to discuss the entire franchise on our tenth episode! Until then, here is this weeks episode. A big apology for not having a show the last two weeks, both myself and Jason Milward have been extremely busy, and finally managed to get a time together this weekend when we could talk for a little over an hour. Thanks for listening, and we'll be back next time with our Antichrist discussion.
