This week we are joined by Renee Pillor to discuss abortion and the Pro-Life movement.
Renee started her professional career in medical imaging. This was about the time of the Roe v Wade decision in 1973. While early ultrasound sonograms were not nearly as clear as today's 3D images, she was able to see the early start of a human. As the product of an unplanned pregnancy, Renee's mother actually contemplated an illegal abortion. She owes her life to a doctor who suggested that abortions can cause problems for the mother in addition to the death of the baby.
Renee's work on behalf of the unborn includes:
Worked as a selected volunteer lobbyist to US Congress in Washington DC for Concerned Women for America (with the 535 project) for 8 years starting 2002
2008 .. Spokeswoman for ProLife Unity (proLifeUnity.com)
2009.. News Reporter for ProLifeMedia, Christian Life News and Cherish Life Ministries.
2012.. covered the life news and interviewed many US Presidential candidates and Congressmen and other leaders focusing on pro life and Christian issues. 2012 through 2016 elections. Covered protest and The March for Life, in spite of Blizzard like conditions some years.
Plan to join us and listen to the podcast as Renee shares her story and the work she and others are so passionate about.

Recently I received a private message from Charlie. He had seen some of my writing and was interested in using some of my comments from articles and book in his talk. Of course I had no objection, and I wanted to learn more about Charlie. Well it turned out that on Tuesday evening we both were able to attend the same meeting near Kansas City! It was great to hear him speak and to meet him in person. Charlie has a passion for our republic and we share the fear of what lies on the horizon. This coming Monday, October 17th at 7:00 pm Central, join us as Charlie tells his story, about "Ride Against the Tide" and we discuss both the dangers that lie ahead and the hope we have for the future. Listen online or on the phone line, 773-897-6299. We'd love to hear your comments or ask questions, join us live Monday evening or listen to the podcast at your convenience.
On Tuesday's radio show we will hear from two incredible women, Christina Harley and Mary Fields Berkenpas. We will first hear from Mary Fields Berkenpas who wil give us a low down on how to read the Bible and the importance of having regular bible readings in our lives. She will also give us an overview on the Last Days.
Christina Harley is a UCLA alum and is currently doing a reading of a play entitled "The Dreamers-Resurrection City." The play takes place the April 4th, 1968 shortlly following the death of Martin Luther King Jr. It looks at a small, poor community on the outskirts of Memphis and how this tragedy has impacted and what the Dream means for them now. It uses a multi-ethnic cast. It takes place at UCLA James West Alumni Center and it starts at 7pm on October 19, 2016. Christina has been interviewed about BBC Radio concerning this play and we are honored to have her as our distinguished guest.
On March 30, 1863 Abraham Lincoln declared a national day of fasting Lincoln wrote:We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!
If that was true in 1863 it is even more true today. So one man has decided to follow Lincoln's footsteps and call for a nationwide day of fasting and prayer in order to secure the blessings of our Heavenly Father once more. His name is Jay McCaney and we will talk to Jay not just about fasting for our nation but how it can help in our own lives. We will compare fasting of biblical times to fasting of today. We will also look at why people are so "furious" and how fasting can help funnel that ire into something more useful and constructive. We will also take your calls. So if you are "furious" maybe it is time you start to "fast"
Cindy Grosz, host of Cindy's Corner, invites tonight's guest, GOP strategist Rick Tyler to the studio to discuss the 2016 Presidential election.
JD Rucker is a Christian blogger and author and has decided he has had enough of the two party system and has takeing upon himself to create a new Christian conservative party called the New Americana party. Though we might be finished with the debates that doesn't mean that Open Rebellion is through with informing people about third parties, because we realize our broken system is not going to change until we, the people, do something to change it.
Even as new as it is, people are already bad mouthing JD and his party: J.D will have an opportunity to fight these disparaging remarks and set the record straight! (Note: Don't worrry JD, if people are already attacking you, then you are doing something right!) Some come listen as we contine to give you more information about third parties and if you like what you hear, sign up and let's grow this conservative movement together.
