Hank and Petra are podcasting from deep in the hills of Appalachia. We are laughing and talking about ourselves, our community, and the world in general. We like to think of ourselves as educated Hillbillies. You can expect regular discussions about geeky topics such as philosophy, current events, movies, websites, science articles, supernatural phenomenon, new technology, health, fitness and religion. We inevitably end up complaining some about the jackasses of the planet but we try not to let them dominate the discussion. We can’t let these people bring us down! Whatever or whoever else we are interested in at that particular moment is of course also free game. Listen to this podcast and experience a unique and fresh view of the world you can only get from the hills of Appalachia.

I’m all in on House if then Dragon, loving the female viewpoint as much as the dragons. I relate to the utter dysfunction of the Targarians, and love being back in Westeros. Hank’s ok watching it with me.
Hank’s watched Netflix’s Maniac. I caught enough to think it’s weird but love the sets and acting.
It’s time to revisit Starship Troopers. It’s funny and satire, but the marketing made us expect a serious action movie. Expectations weren’t met.
And a racist little scandal came out of Kentucky. We’re glad things are changing and this isn’t tolerated.
This show is in memory of Chairman Meow. I’m scared I’ll never love any animal as much as I loved that mean grey cat. There is a kitty shaped hole in my heart.
I’ve been loving television lately, and picking the shows. We both liked The Sandman. Hank liked The Boys until the end, and I think he’s only putting up with House of the Dragon because I’m utterly obsessed.
We’ve enjoyed some ambient music from YouTube. The floating astronaut is amazing. It’s devolved into “floaty spaceman” here.
NASA says not to worry, but they’re trying to change the trajectory of an astroid. So don’t look up but there’s a Double Astroid Redirecting Test going on.
Hank is a big history reader, and he’s reading Hunter S. Thompson’s articles written during the Nixon era. It’s good to know that things have been this crazy before.

Chairman Meow is a picky little shit and finding her food has been challenging. I’m doing the Master Gardner training and volunteering. I’ve find my tribe. My outrage subs have been active lately. I can’t imagine what possesses people to keep “pets” that cause so much death, destruction, and STRESS. And what’s going on in Ukrainian is freaking us out.

And we’ve had it with our unvaccinated neighbors. Our state is getting decimated by COVID because nobody can tell them what to do.
