Today we take a look at how the first page of the Bible gives us an incredible syllabus of how to read the rest of the Bible, how to live in God's created world, and God's impact in the chaos of our lives.  Our Read Scripture series for the year kicks off today!
Needs came from the growth of the Church, so the Apostles called others to rise up and meet those needs.  It's a beautiful picture of how we are not here to consume... we are called to CONTRIBUTE to the kingdom and to Christ's bride, The Church.
When the Gospel is lived and preached IN PUBLIC?  It demands a response.
We are given a contrast of two very generous gifts.  One done for the Glory of God, and one done for the glory of self.  One leads to giving the giver the new name of "Son of Encouragement", the other causes one of the swiftest and fastest judgements upon a couple in all of the New Testament.   The heart matters.
The Apostles could have prayed for a great many things in the aftermath of their arrest, but they prayed that God would give them boldness to proclaim His Gospel to the world, and to do it well.
There were a lot of good things happening and powerful movements of God, but the Apostles quickly learned that as God moves, the world will try to push back.  And yet they stood firm.  A powerful testimony from Acts this morning!
This morning we have a chance to really look at the two things Peter instructions believers to do and the two free gifts that are made possible because of Christ alone.
The Falling of the Holy Spirit.  The Event that was promised.  The beginning of the Church.
A section of scripture that should encourage us and remind us that we never again need to consult any secondary sources when we can hear from God directly through the gift of His Holy Spirit!
Two pivotal instructions from Jesus:   Await the Spirit, and Be My Witnesses.  What a grand purpose for us in those same promises today!
Our new series about the original blueprint for Christ's Church and the power of the Holy Spirit.  Join us for this series that will take us up to the holidays this year and lay the groundwork for being a Church on the Move!
How do I come to terms with being more blessed than some, less blessed than other?  And what about those who have less?
You Asked: How do I know God's Will for My Life? The first question we need to be genuinely honest and wrestle with is... do you REALLY want to know it, or are you looking for God to bless YOUR will?
Am I good enough and doing what God wants me to?
We answer two big questions about the nature of hell and how God could "send his children" there.
How do we learn to trust the God that we believe in?   Habakkuk shows us that that we must be brave enough to question, courageous enough to wrestle, if we are ever to embrace.
We were treated to a wonderful look at Psalm 130 this morning and hope you are as encouraged as we were by the words God gave Ann for us this morning.
"What do you say to someone who is a homosexual who claims that God made them this way?" "Why would God make me this way if He says it's wrong?" "I believe in God but I'm same sex attracted, now what?"   The most asked questions in our series so far has centered around the issues of sexuality, identity, and God's role in this.  We spend this morning seeking the Bible's response to these questions.
We are starting a new series by answering some of the challenging questions that people have submitted to us. This first message comes from questions that came from kids in our Tree of Life House Ministries.     1. Why doesn't God come down to Earth & 2. Why did He send His son instead of going Himself?
What many followers of Jesus face in 2019 will be similar to what followers of Jesus have experienced throughout the ages.... there will be hurts, trials, suffering, disappointments, times of teaching, and times where we truly see Jesus for who He is.  All of these things are promised, all of these things Jesus himself experienced as well as He walked this Earth.  This message is meant to encourage us to follow Christ's example in the MIDST of the hard times.
