This week we are lucky enough to have a brilliant infection disease doctor on the podcast, Dr. Sary Beidas, to discuss the pathology and treatment options for Covid-19. So far I've really only shared information on the epidemiology and public health science aspects of the outbreak, but I haven't gone into detail on current and potential treatments (as it's not my area of expertise). I have been receiving a lot of questions about the current and potential Covid-19 treatments, so I thought it was best to have an expert inform us on these topics. Dr. Saudi Beidas, who is one of the leading infectious doctos in the U.S. was gracious enough to offer his time to provide us with the medical perspective on Covid-19. I'm very grateful for the insight he shared, as I learned a lot from this conversation and I think you will as well! Dr. Sary Beidas, MD is an infectious disease specialist in Orange Park, FL and has been practicing for 30 years. He graduated from Fac Med U Jordan, Amman in 1983 and specializes in infectious disease medicine. On this episode we discuss: Dr. Beidas' background and how he became involved with studying infectious diseases How Covid-19 presents itself, and how it spreads through the population Treatment methods that are currently being used and researched How Covid-19 differs from the flu Why losing your sense of taste and smell could be an early sign you have contracted Covid-19 How to measure the oxygen saturation in your lungs using a pulse oximeter Remdesivir, Zithromax, Hydroxychloroquine: their risks and potential in treating Covid-19 Why heart problems may put you at higher risk of developing more severe viral symptoms How safety issues can arise when scaling up drug or vaccine trials The correlation between smoking and a higher mortality rate from Covid-19 Why behavioral and lifestyle changes are critical to maintaining a healthy immune system The time that Covid-19 can survive on various surfaces Preventative measures you can take to keep yourself and others safe Some alternative treatments that MAY be effective for treating Covid-19 (do your own research) Why NSAID's could potentially make things worse when using as a treatment for Covid-19 Connect with Kayla: Instagram: @biocurious_kayla [Web] https://www.biocuriouskayla.com Sponsors: Formula nootropics: https://www.findmyformula.com/?rfsn=3819541.5e41a8 Listener discount code: biocurious Biostrap: https://biostrap.com/select-your-set/?ref=kaylaosterhoff. Today we have NOA AON on the podcast to talk about living a lifestyle of positivity, love and pure joy! He is known around the world as the biohacking DJ who provides experiences that shake you to your core, which I can personally attest to since experiencing his total system reset in Iceland. After a successful career as an entrepreneur and professional athlete, NOA AON left it all behind to pursue his passion for helping people full time. His mission can be explained by his name - NOA means “freedom” in Hawaiian, to “love” in Japanese and “movement” in Hebrew. And AON is a palindrome for “all or nothing” which is his philosophy for life! On this episode we discuss: - The duality that we all live in - Pranic healing principals - How NOA AON arose out of complete darkness and silence - How NOA AON is changing the party culture - How to be generally awesome - The trinity: me, we, be - How to BE more - How to harness the power of breath - Frequency matching - How to activate theta brainwaves - The mantra of surrender - How to recode your monkey mind - Why thinking distracts you from your true purpose - The secret to experiencing more joy - Aligning with the highest good of all - 8 steps to living the luscious lifestyle - Setting a positive keynote for the day - And the question you should ask yourself every morning To connect with NOA AON: [Web]: www.noaaon.com [Facebook]: NOA|AON [Instagram]: @Noaaonofficial [Spotify]: NOA|AON [YouTube]: NOA|AON [SoundCloud]: NOA|AON Connect with Kayla: Instagram: https://instagram.com/biocurious_kayla?igshid=13k16wei10ytd WB Collective: https://www.thewbcollective.com NOA AON’s free resources: UNRELEASED CLASS RECORDING FOR YOU AT HOME:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/0cux295oduft2ha/%23NOA_AON%20Movement%20Podcast%20Episode%201.mp3?dl=0 Preview of the luscious lifestyle: Try a 30 day Journey:  * Start with Morning Routine  * Journal and set intentions. * Plug into group of people that support you. Morning Routine:  * As soon as you wake up do 3-4 rounds of retention breathing. (30-40 inhales, hold on exhale, inhale again for 10-15 sec) 4th round can be on hold and squeeze.  * Cold Shower always start and end cold. Stay until you feel comfortable. (do warm up exercises before and after) Shake the shivers and stay relaxed in control of your breath.  * End with 5-10 min meditation simply observing breathe, silence behind noise, body awareness - At the end what are you grateful for and how do you want your day to look like.  * Water with Lemon and then Bulletproof Coffee or Tea  https://www.bulletproof.com/blogs/recipes/official-bulletproof-coffee/ Meditation:  1. Pay attention to your breathe on each exhale slow it down as much as you can.  2. Pay attention to your body awareness s and feel it expand. (you can start with your hands)  3. Pay attention to the silence behind noice and go deeper and deeper into subtle, slow "ocean" like realms.  4. Bonus pay attention to light (flicker or beam) from your forehead.  If using mantras, the most effective I found the universal truths:  Inhale "I" Exhale "Essence". (repeat as needed feel response in your body.  Another one Inhale "I AM" Exhale "Pure Love", Inhale "I am" Exhale "Infinite", Inhale "I am" Exhale "Eternal".  System Reset:  Tap into the waters in your body. "system" (your body) "reset":  And say: 1. Perfect Health NOW 2. Perfect Balance NOW 3. Perfect Weight NOW 4. Perfect Image NOW .......You make it your own.
