The Ghosting Pandemic

The Ghosting Pandemic

2020-11-2509:41

In this podcast episode I am giving you a glimpse into what one of my mentorship group sessions look like and the topic we discussed in this episode is about GHOSTING and the pandemic that it has become.  Ghosting is deliberate emotional cruelty. Those who ghost you leave you to come up with a reason why they cut you off and they don’t care if it’s true or not. They sacrifice your emotions for their control. Listen or watch this podcast episode about ghosting at paulscanlon.com/podcast-channel I'd love for you to let me know how you enjoy this episode by sharing @PaulScanlonUK.  If you’re interested in finding out more about my Mentorship Group and how you can join this community visit thementorshipgroup.com we’d love to welcome you or email pa@paulscanlon.com for more information.
In this podcast episode I am giving you a glimpse into what one of my mentorship group sessions look like and I have chosen together some of the great questions that were asked from this session that might be of help to you. We did a discussion around the book I read recently called ATTACHED by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller. Here are some of the questions I discuss with some of the amazing tribe that are in my Mentorship Group from around the world! Q: How do you make an assessment between if you are secure in a relationship or if you are developing apathy to protect yourself? Q: How can we avoid becoming controlling when it comes to relationship styles? Q: What are some non-negotiable tips and boundaries that you’ve put in place when you have been growing your relationship styles as you keep reinventing yourself? Q: How do I move past anxiety and go deeper into your relationships? I hope you enjoy this episode and make sure you share with me your thoughts by tagging me in a post or sending me a DM @PaulScanlonUK If you’re interested in finding out more about my Mentorship Group and how you can join this community visit thementorshipgroup.com we’d love to welcome you or email pa@paulscanlon.com for more information.
Most of us want to live epic lives and be the hero of our own stories, but what if I told you that it’s far greater to fill a supporting role in an epic story than an epic role in a supporting story? We all want to be top ranked leaders, but it’s better to be a great sergeant than a bad general.  In this podcast episode, I want to discuss how our impact in the world can be far greater in roles that may not look as epic as we initially envision for ourselves.  *Enjoying what you’re hearing? You are not your labels! We are obsessed with labelling of both ourselves and others, so from birth we begin a life tethered to a false narrative based on those labels.  That limited level of consciousness can only be broken by self awareness. --- Find out more about my new online course only available until Friday October 30th! visit - paulscanlon.com/selfawareness or email pa@paulscanlon.com
Where you get excited about the process?  Not just the outcome - the study, investigation, conversation, research - all the things that are involved in how to get a good outcome - than that is an indication of what your passions and strengths are. If you’re struggling to figure out where you’re heading in life or what your passions and strengths are the pay attention to where you love process. We are so driven by validation through results that we assume successful outcomes is where we should look.  The secret and it is a secret because so few know it, is to look where you love the process not the results. Look at the creativity, study, planning, risk, uncertainty, struggle and effort that you love and there you will find yourself.  Look for something where you love the process and the rest will follow. Correlation is the connection we make between two or more things. Causation takes that a step further and decides what that connection means.  It’s human nature to lazily place unrelated things into an instant correlation without any thought to the tragic consequences that can have.  A black man jogging in a white neighbourhood is a CORRELATION, the belief that he’s a threat is then the following CAUSATION of his death.  Unless we examine our flawed correlations we will keep having flawed causes of all kinds of injustice, pain and suffering. ---- Don't forget to sign up to my free mini course on the FIVE BEHAVIOURS OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE visit - paulscanlon.com/freecourse

AM I A RACIST?

AM I A RACIST?

2020-06-0207:25

I’ve always struggled with the word racist until I understood white privilege. We can’t see white privilege by speaking to white people we must ask black people to help us, to educate us. - - - -  Don't forget to subscribe, and leave us your review.
