The name 'Mad Mike' Hoare  is synonymous with post-war swash-buckling adventure. Embracing the philosophy that you get more out of life by living dangerously, Hoare soldiered, traversed Africa by motorbike, pioneered safaris in the Kalahari, commanded mercenaries in the Congo, led a coup in the Seychelles, and was the inspiration behind the film The Wild Geese. Chris Hoare is a journalist, eldest son of Mike Hoare, and author of a biography detailing his father's life: 'Mad Mike' Hoare: The Legend. In this podcast Chris examines the many different tags his father's name bears, and reveals a man determined to live life to the fullest.Get the book: http://madmikehoare.com/Support the show (https://www.taleslesstold.com/donate.html)
