Former Field Gulls contributor Patton Richard has been putting together Seahawks draft boards for years. The self-proclaimed "draft nerd" has finalized this year's board, and the result is a tiered list of potential Seahawk targets broken out by position and levels.
It's a great way to see just where the different pockets of value to try and understand why Seattle may be focusing on certain position groups at specific spots in the draft.
I'll take you through his board, ask about his process, and get some of his specific takes on why a few players at each position just scream "Seahawk!"

As the Seahawks begin their first offseason workout program under new head coach Mike Macdonald and his staff, I'll give you my list of 3 things I'm watching closely.

Seahawks beat reporter Corbin Smith, host of Locked on Seahawks and lead writer for All Seahawks, impressed me so much with his latest mock draft that I just had to have him on the show to break it all down.
As many mocks as I do, I don't think I've been able to nail one in quite this manner, and what intrigued me the most was when he went in a direction with Seattle's first pick that I NEVER take.
He'll explain his thought process, and how this 9 player class would fit in Mike Macdonald's first year as Seahawks head coach.

Emory Hunt publishes the Football Gameplan Draft Guide and provides draft coverage for CBS Sports. He scours the country looking for talent, and I find that he's much more objective and open-minded than other draft analysts.... much more willing to include lesser-known FCS players in his rankings.
As a result, his lists look quite a bit different than many of the other mainstream publications you may have seen.
We'll talk about that, while also digging into the Seahawks roster and getting Emory's thoughts on potential fits - both in the first round and later on - at their positions of greatest needs.
I also ask Emory to provide a few sleeper names that others seem to be overlooking, as well as a couple guys he thinks are being OVER rated.

The Seahawks missed the playoffs in 2023, ushering in a new era as legendary head coach Pete Carroll was replaced by young first-timer Mike Macdonald.
There's a lot of work to be done as the team entered free agency with fewer players under contract than any team in the NFL. But as we assess things now just one week after the start of free agency, is it possible Seattle's overall roster is actually better than the one that finished the season in Arizona?

College football scout and owner of The Football Scout channel on YouTube, Sanjit T joins the show today to weigh in on the state of the Seattle Seahawks offensive line.
Now that the most pressing needs have been addressed through free agency on defense and at tight end, the offensive line remains as a perceived weakness among fans and analysts, particularly on the interior.

The Seattle Seahawks and general manager John Schneider succeeded in re-signing DT Leonard Williams and TE Noah Fant, but lost some of their other free agents and saw a few potential targets sign with other teams as well.

Christian Caple has been living in the pacific northwest and covering the University of Washington football team for years, so who better to speak to the potential fit of Husky prospects with the Seattle Seahawks in this year's upcoming NFL draft?
And this is no ordinary UW draft class....a record 13 of them participated in the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis last week, and there's a good chance the entire baker's dozen will be drafted, breaking the school record set in 1998 when 10 Huskies were selected.
There are some obvious potential connections with Ryan Grubb and Scott Huff joining the Seahawk coaching staff after two seasons on Montlake - will Michael Penix be a potential target for John Schneider as he looks to solidify the QB position for the long-term? - but are there some other logical fits among the group as well?
And what are the qualities that Ryan Grubb posesses that lead Caple to believe he'll suceed at the NFL level?
