We are excited to have Alex Ehly on the podcast! Alex is the young adult pastor at Christ Community Church. He was on staff at Camp Rivercrest the Summer of 2007 and has been a speaker during some retreats so he knows camp from WAY back. Alex has ten years of youth ministry under his belt and he says camp really helped equip him for his career.
He shares how camp prepared him for his roles in ministry and how important it is to invest your time/energy in a camp environment.
There are still a few positions left to fill this Summer so you have time to apply! Thanks for listening.
Hey guys, we are excited to share about all things Summer! Emily (Program Director) shares her thoughts about the theme and why she picked "Buried Treasure." We also get an inside scoop on what happened at camp during the flood! Thankfully, camp was safe from the damage. Jeremiah recalls his experience seeing the water rise for the first time. Can you imagine!?
Thankful for you guys and thanks for listening!
Summer Staff applications can be found online!
We are excited to have Hannah and Mitch on the show! Emily and Jeremiah traveled all the way to Crown College just to record this interview. Hannah and Mitch are Alumni who have been heavily involved with all things Rivercrest. You name it the job has been done by them. Join us as we hear some stories about pest control, secret kitchen ingredients and something called a dog fish?
As always, thanks for listening! We would love a review or a share and remember that Summer staff applications are open and online!
Keep fishing.
This week we have tiny but mighty...Tara Andersen! If you have ever been around Rivercrest for any amount of time you probably are friends with Tara. She has a warm, bubbly personality that is contagious to be around and the campers all love her. She was part of the program team this Summer (2018 Get Found) and was involved with running games and adventure activities. Hope you enjoy listening. We love feedback so hit us up on Facebook or Instagram and tell us what you think of the episodes! Summer applications are online if you want to apply for an awesome Summer at Camp Rivercrest!
P.S. Thanks for listening =)
Stay tuned for our Summer Theme 2019!

Thought we forgot about you?? Of course not! We are going to be releasing episodes once a month until Summer and hope you stay with us. We have a two part series on the staff's experience from the National Christian Camp and Conference Association Conference in Palm Springs. There was a lot to digest and take in and definitely a lot of fun, new things to implement. Happy New Year!
First voice: Ben Adler, Operations Director
Second voice: Eli Sturgeon, Hospitality Manager

We have Emily Sturgeon the program director here with us this episode! She tells us her thoughts on the Summer and how to crack open a crab shell among other things. Emily has been involved with Rivercrest for 6 years and has a lot of great memories of Camp Rivercrest. Jeremiah, her husband works at the camp as well and is the media manager. They love working together and growing in relationships with the other staff. Thanks for listening!
We have a fun format for you in this episode! You will hear Board Member Jeremy Stine preach to the CCCA Fall Fellowship. He gives an encouraging word to us camp people and we thought we would be great to share that with you guys who love camp! It is very funny and thoughtful and we hope you enjoy.
You may have seen Jeremy this Summer on Sundays during registration. Also he is like 7 feet tall so you probably have seen him from a distance if he was walking around Camp Rivercrest. We love Jeremy and are thankful that he let us use this audio!
Hey guys! We have Steven Zarate with us. He was a counselor this Summer and he is a really cool guy! Fun Fact: He helped create the jingle for this podcast.
Steven tells us a great fishing story, what he wants to do with his life and his favorite camp memory from the Summer. Thanks for listening!
