The, Emily tells the story Elizabeth Thorn who, when the Battle of Gettysburg left her home and town devastated, undertook the gruesome but necessary work of burying the bodies. First, Emily shares the story of Frances Hamerstrom, a naturalist who loved prairie chickens, conservation, and biological warfare. Then, Kelley tells the story of Katia Krafft who turned her volcano phase into a full-blown career and lifestyle, going so far as to travel to erupting volcanoes to study them. The ladies had their second ever live show at the Olmsted County History Center to celebrate Minnesota Mavens!
