The Red Sox ended their season-high 5-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox in the series opener at Fenway Park on Friday night.  It's the Sox 29th comeback win of the season and with the win the Sox avoid falling to a game below .500.  The Sox have 21 games left in the Regular Season and 5 games remaining on the Homestand.    -----On the Board 1st: The White Sox got on the board and scored their only run against Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta in the 2nd Inning.  Lenyn Sosa led off the Inning with a Double and scored on a 2-out Single from Jacob Amaya.    -----Sox on the Board:  The Red Sox evened the game at 1-1 in the home 4th Inning.  Wilyer Abreu and Masa Yoshida both reached after getting hit by pitches.  Triston Casas picked up an RBI with a single into left field that plated Abreu from 2nd-Base.  Sox were looking for more but Enmanuel Valdez hit into an inning-ending Double Play.-----Taking the Lead with a Bomb:  The Sox took their 1st lead of the night on a 2-run Home Run from Ceddanne Rafaela in the Bottom of the 7th Inning.  It was Rafaela's 15th of the season and 6th on the season at Fenway Park.  Rafaela's Home Run also snapped 4-Game stretch without a Home Run for the Red Sox.       -----Still Can't Get to 10: Sox collected only 5 hits (4 Singles & 1 Home Run) in the opener Fright night.  Sox have gone 17 straight games without collecting 10 or more hits in a game.  Club has Single-Digit hit totals in 24 of its last 29 Games.      -----Nick's Night: Nick Pivetta gave up just the 1 run over his 6 innings of work.  He ended up with a no-decision.  Sox are now 12-10 in Pivetta's 22 starts.He walked 3 and struck out 6.  -----The Pen: Zack Kelly gave up a hit in working a scoreless 7th inning and he managed to pick up the win.  Brennan Bernardino worked a 1-2-3 8th Inning after the Sox had taken the lead in the Home 7th. The Red Sox finished their 6-Game Road Trip with an 8-3 loss to the Mets at Citi Field Wednesday night.  The Red Sox went 1-5 on their trip through Detroit and New York and have lost 5 in a row for the 1st time this season and have now been swept 6 times this season and for the 3rd time on the road.                         -----On the Board 1st: Tanner Houck got off to a rough start Wednesday night.  The Sox starter allowed the 1st 3 hitters to reach with a pair of singles and a walk.  After Houck struck out Pete Alonso, he allowed a Grand Slam to Jesse Winker.  Houck retired the next 2 batters and went on to retire 13 in a row at 1 point and he also struck out 6 straight hitters during that stretch.  Houck gave up a couple of hits with 2 outs in the 5th, but stranded both runners to end his night.#89's Final Line- 5.0 IP. 5 Hits. 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 7 Ks. 1 Home Run allowed.  -----Sox on the Board: The Red Sox scored all 3 of their runs and got to within a run in the 3rd against Mets starter Tylor MeGill.  Jarren Duran had an RBI Double (#44) and Rafael Devers and Wilyer Abreu both picked up RBIs with Sacrifice Flies.    -----Put It Away in the 8th: Kenley Jansen and Rich Hill combined to walk 5 hitters, including 3 with the bases loaded, in the 8th inning.  Mets put the game out of reach with 4 more runs in their final turn at-bat.-----Hitting Into 2!: The Sox had base runners in the 5th, 6th and again in the 7th but failed to score any of the innings.  Rafael Devers hit into an inning-ending Double Play to end the 5th.  Tristan Casas hit into an inning-ending Double Play to end the 6th.  Romy Gonzalez, up as a Pinch-Hitter, hit into a 4-6-3 Double Play to end the 7th.  Devers has now hit into a team-high 12 GDIPs this season.    -----Grand Slams: The Grand Slam in the 1st Inning off the bat of Jesse Winker was the 8th Grand Slam allowed by Red Sox pitchers this season. The Red Sox lost the series finale, 4-1, to the Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit Sunday afternoon.  Sox won the opener Friday night but lost the next 2 and are back to 3. Games above .500 with 25 games left in the Regular Season.  Sox are 5-9 over their last 14 games.   -----Strong Start: Cooper Criswell made the start in the finale for the Red Sox and on Sunday and he was terrific, retiring all 12 hitters that he faced over the 1st 4 Innings. He struck out 5 and got 4 groundball outs.  Plenty questioning on "Social Media" as to why Criswell was pulled after 4 "perfect" Innings and 52 pitches (35 strikes).#64's Line:  4 IP. 0 H. 0 R. 0 ER. 0 BB. 5 K.    -----2-Out Magic: It took until the 5th Inning, but the Red Sox got on the board 1st.  Brant Hurter struck out the 1st 2 hitters in the 5th, but 3 straight hitters each reached with hits.  Romy Gonzalez got things going with a single.  Gonzalez went 1st to 3rd on a single by Nick Sogard and he scored on a 2-out RBI Single from Jarren Duran.  -----1st Out of the Pen: Rich Hill entered in the 5th inning for his 2nd straight outing and 3rd since Thursday when he made his season debut at home against the Blue Jays. The Red Sox dropped a 2-1 decision to the Detroit Tigers Saturday night at Commerica Park.  The Series is even at 1-1 with the finale coming Sunday afternoon.  The Red Sox managed just 1 run against Tarik Skubal, who went 8 Innings and notched his 16th win. The Red Sox opened up their 6-Game Road Trip with a 7-5, 10-Inning​ win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park Friday night.  Tigers with a run in the Bottom of the 9th off Kenley Jansen to even the game at 4-4.  Ceddanne Rafaela hit a 2-run Home Run in the Top of the 10th and after a pitching change, Jarren Duran crushed a Home Run to right to add to the lead.  Connor Wong had 2 Extra-Base Hits and a pair of RBIs in the Sox victory.  Sox are now 12 over .500 (39-27) on the road for the season.-----On the Board 1st:  Jarren Duran led off the game with a Double to centerfield against Casey Mize and scored from 3rd on an RBI groundout from Tristan Casas.  Sox went up 2-0 in the 3rd Inning on a Sacrifice Fly from Wilyer Abreu.  Connor Wong knocked Boston's 3rd run of the game with an RBI Double in the 4th Inning.  Wong hit his 12th Home Run of the season in the 6th to make it 4-0.  -----The Pen: Brennan Bernardino was the 1st out of the Pen Friday night.  He worked a 1-2-3 7th Inning with 2 strikeouts.  Bernardino ran into trouble and gave up a 3-run Home Run to Kerry Carpenter in the 8th Inning to make it a 1-run game.  Justin Slaten entered and got the final 2 outs in the 8th to keep it a 1-run game.-----The Pen II: Kenley Jansen gave up a leadoff single in the Bottom of the 9th to Zack McKinstry and he moved to 2nd with no one out on a stolen base. The Red Sox were shutout, 2-0, by the Toronto Blue Jays in the Series Finale at Fenway Park Thursday night.  Sox went just 2-5 on their Homestand against the Diamondbacks and Blue Jays and are now on the road for their next 6 games.  Sox streak of 76 straight games without being shutout ended on Thursday and it's the 6th time this season where the Sox were blanked.  The Sox were held to just 2 hits singles on the night by Bowden Francis and 2 Toronto relievers.       -----On the Board 1st: The Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead in the 3rd Inning on a 2-out RBI Double from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.  The Jays with more 2-out magic again in the 6th with Addison Barger keeping the inning alive with a 2-out Double and he scored on a Double from Ernie Clement to make it 2-0.  -----Limited Offense: Red Sox did not have a hit and managed only 1 base runner over the 1st 5 Innings against Toronto's starting pitcher, Bowden Francis.  Nick Sogard, promoted from Triple-A Worcester earlier in the day, reached with a 1-out Single in the 6th Inning.  Francis came back and retired the next 2 hitters. He ended up going 7 scoreless and picked up his 4th straight win and 8th on the season.  -----Kutter Got the Nod: Kutter Crawford made the start in the Series Finale Thursday night.  The right-hander allowed 2 runs over 6.2 Innings. He worked 2 1-2-3 Innings on the night.  Crawford recorded 10 fly-ball outs and got 7 groundball outs. The Red Sox made hit back-to-back wins with a 3-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday night at Fenway Park. The Red Sox never trailed in returning to the win column Tuesday night with a 6-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park.  The Red Sox ended a 4-game losing streak overall and also ended a 5-game losing streak at Fenway Park with the victory.  Sox scored 3 in the 1st Inning and added 3 more runs in the 5th Inning.  The Sox are 1-4 on their current Home Stand with 2 more to go.  -----On The Board 1st: Jarren Duran led off the Home 1st Inning with his 20th Home Run of the season.  It was his 5th career Home Run to leadoff a game and 3rd this season.
