How much of your life have you missed out on because you were worried about looking foolish? Embarrassment has a funny way of convincing us that being seen is something to fear, when often, the very things we feel self-conscious about are the things that bring us the most joy, connection and unforgettable experiences. In this episode, I explore why we give embarrassment so much power, what it is really trying to protect us from, and whether we might be making life smaller by trying so hard to avoid feeling uncomfortable.  //  //  Check out my new wellness marketplace, curated just for you! At 25 years old, Vincent “Vinney” Tolman was found dead in the bathroom of a small restaurant. He had been without a heartbeat for more than half an hour and was placed in a body bag, until a rookie paramedic felt compelled to attempt resuscitation. Against the odds, Vinney’s heart started again. He then spent three days in a coma. Vinney says that during this time, he experienced what he believes was the other side. He describes encounters with spiritual guides, a profound life review and insights that completely changed his understanding of death, consciousness, purpose and what it means to be human. In this conversation, we explore his extraordinary near-death experience, what he says he learned while he was gone, and how those lessons changed the way he lives today. But this conversation isn't just about what happens when we die. It’s about what his experience might teach us about how we live. We explore: What Vinney believed about death before his experience What happened the day he died and what he remembers from the experience What he says he saw, heard and felt on the other side His experience of a profound life review and feeling the impact of his actions on others His encounter with a spiritual guide and what he believes about spiritual guidance Why he believes we are here and what gives life meaning Ultimately, Vinney’s story asks us to consider a much bigger question: If we knew what really mattered in life, would we live differently? This is a conversation about death, but perhaps more importantly, it’s a conversation about how to live. What happens when you just can’t seem to find your motivation? When the drive to create, pitch, hustle and push forward disappears and everything starts to feel a little… stale? In this solo episode, I’m sharing what I’ve noticed, and why sometimes the answer isn’t to push harder, but to step away, create some space and reconnect with what actually inspires you. And then there’s AI. I love it. I use it. But lately… it’s been giving me the ICK. 😂 When everyone’s emails, captions and pitches start sounding exactly the same, are we slowly losing something far more valuable than productivity: our own voice, creativity and authenticity? AI isn’t going anywhere, but perhaps we need to make sure we don’t forget how to think, create and communicate without it. For more than three decades, Jennifer Barham-Floreani has been one of Australia's most recognised chiropractors, mentoring health practitioners around the world and co-authoring Well Adjusted Babies, a book that has sold more than half a million copies. But in 2020, everything changed. After publicly questioning aspects of the COVID-19 response and speaking out about issues she believed deserved more discussion, Jennifer became the subject of regulatory action that ultimately led to her losing her registration to practise chiropractic in Australia. It's a story that has sparked passionate debate about professional responsibility, freedom of expression, public health, and what happens when personal conviction collides with regulatory standards. Today, Jennifer joins me to share her experience in her own words. We explore what happened, why she chose to speak up despite the personal cost, and what she's learned after five years of defending her position. We also discuss the role of curiosity in healthcare, preventative wellbeing, raising healthy families, why she's so passionate about chiropractic care, and what she believes we should all take away from one of the most divisive periods in modern history. We all have bad days. We all get frustrated. But what happens when negativity, judgement and bitterness become a way of life? In this solo episode, I explore why we sometimes project our own unhappiness onto other people, and how the experiences and beliefs we carry can shape the way we see the world. Because misery might like company, but so does kindness. This is an invitation to look inward, question the beliefs that may be driving our behaviour, and consider whether we are contributing to the negativity around us or choosing something different. // Check out my new wellness marketplace, curated just for you!
