Description

The faculty at Holy Apostles, a small liberal arts college and seminary in Cromwell, CT, will use this station platform each week to deliver and discuss one idea on which they're working that draws together faith and reason. The format is set up to resemble a conference paper - 20 minutes of presentation by the faculty member followed by a half hour of engagement from the assembled colleagues.

Show times are Friday afternoons at 4:00 pm Eastern, and all faculty worldwide are invited to participate. To sign up for a date and time to give a talk, email the topic, a couple of suggested dates, and a short outline to Dr. Sebastian Mahfood, OP, at mahfood@wcatradio.com.

In this episode of The Two Wings Seminar, Dr. Arthur William McVey speaks on Soulful Organizational Leadership (March 29, 2021)In the “Postmodern” organizational era, the concept of soul, spirituality, rationality, telos, virtue, happiness, and meaning is becoming increasingly a mainstream component in scientific psychology. This situation presents a promising challenge for a Thomistic, organizational faculty-behavioral-psychology. As contemporary organizations emerge into hierarchical-heterarchical structures, it is argued that a return to a premodern Aristotelian-Thomistic, faculty-behavioral-psychology is the most appropriate organizational psychology for the digital-disruptive culture in quest of an executive-exemplar realist leadership. In responding to this cultural situation, we will develop a psychology of soulful organizational leadership grounded on a Thomistic, organizational faculty-behavioral-psychology.https://enroutebooksandmedia.com/leadership/For the PowerPoint to this talk, see https://wcatradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/McVey-Soulfulness.pdf
