On the morning of May 18th, 1927, Andrew Kehoe murdered his wife and set his farm on fire. Meanwhile, at the Bath Consolidated School, he rigged explosives to go off at about the same time. He then drove to the school, parked his truck out front and detonated a bomb in his truck killing himself as well as other people surrounding it. After it was all said and done, he killed 38 students and 6 adults, with the students ranging from 2nd grade to 6th grade. To this day, it remains the deadliest school massacre in United States history.
On July 18th 1984, James Huberty went to his local McDonald's armed with a 9mm Browning HP, a semi-automatic 9mm Uzi, and a Winchester 1200 12 gauge pump action shotgun. Once inside, he opened fire and spent the next 77 minutes shooting innocent people, killing 21 and injuring another 19. The response time of the police to the scene as well as him being in the building so long sparked public outrage that would change the future of tactical police responses to similar situations moving forward. At the time of the massacre, this was the largest mass shooting by a lone gunman in United States history.

We end on the unbelievable verdict and the reaction across the country following it. We want to know what you think of the trial. Was O.J. guilty or did the cops plant evidence? In part 2 the highly anticipated trial gets underway. The prosecution initially bases their case around the multiple domestic violence incidents between Simpson and Brown but that quickly gets dropped in favor of the overwhelming evidence against O.J. Meanwhile, the defense starts their case with claims of evidence being contaminated before switching it to the police allegedly planting evidence in an attempt to frame Simpson. Be sure to come back for our next episode where we will go over the defense claims of planting evidence and we will wrap up the trial and cover the reaction around the country to the shocking verdict.Got any questions or comments? It was two years ago that we started our debate show, Bang & Dang Debate. We did about 100 topics and we though that since two years has passed we would go back and see if our thoughts have changed since then. So we went back and picked topics randomly and had at it. This was a really fun show and we are looking forward to getting more done! We debated the following topics: Which is the best season of the year? The minimum wage only should be at a level in which a person can survive. History is an important subject in school. Can bullying in schools be stopped? How so? Same-sex marriage. Should it be legal?Email us at bangdangpodcast@gmail.com with some topics you would like to hear debated and maybe they will make the show!

On February 28th 1997 one of the most famous "caught on tape" shootouts occurred. Two heavily armed AND armored bank robbers engaged police in a lengthy shootout outside of a Bank Of America location in North Hollywood. About 1,700 rounds were fired when it was all said and done and this incident paved the way for arming rank-and-file police officers with semi-automatic weapons, previously only issued to swat teams.
