Description

Self-love is a dirty job! Just. For. Today's host, Robin, pulls on her galoshes and trudges through everything that it takes to live a balanced and self-compassionate life in the wake of life changing pain. From mental illness, to substance abuse, to shame, this podcast will delve into the bog of self-love and try to drag what really matters in life to the surface.

Why is it called Just. For. Today?:

"Just for Today" is a saying that can be found on medallions (or sometimes called chips) received in support groups like Narcotics Anonymous. Host Robin still has her "Just for Today" medallion on her key chain from her first NA meeting.

I chose to name the show after this because it doesn't matter if you're talking about being sober, or eating healthy, everything is one day at a time. I gave the show this name in the hopes it would remind you to take a step back and breathe, and remember that even if it's just for today, I am proud of you.

Hit this perfect. Quintessential Gen X Male, that is F'd up and scarcely knows what to do about it. It was instilled to just "suck it up, buttercup"....or "nut up.or shut up". Keep the pod casts going. You are one resource for my healing process. I love the honesty of the uneditedesness....

Eric Lee Thank you for taking the time to listen. I apologize for the late reply, I didn't receive a notification of your comment. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with self-neglect. Just remember you have so much strength and value simply by existing. You are worth taking care of.
