Description

The mission of Truth that Changes Lives is to maximize the use of creative media for the purpose of preaching the gospel and teaching the Word of God. Our vision is to see believers transformed to become multiplying disciples and lost people calling on the name of Jesus and being saved. Our prayer is that every day someone, somewhere around the world, hears the gospel, believes in Jesus and is saved.

There is a life that we live that if we live it, people will be asking us questions about our faith. And then when they ask us, we are to be prepared to give an answer. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
There's going to be times in our following of Jesus Christ, we got to submit to people we don't want to, but we do it because we are following Jesus Christ. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
See, the bible addresses our attitudes. And in 1 Peter chapter 2 and chapter 3 it addresses what I believe is a distinctly unique Christian attitude. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
Wherever we are on the spiritual journey, am I going to do what God tells me to do? That's why it's pro active. The good life is pro active. It doesn't just happen because we go to church. It happens because we have commited ourselves to follow Jesus. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
God in grace loves us and has provided a plan of salvation for us and if we in faith open up our hearts to God and receive His grace, we're saved, we're born again! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
We need to live such good lives; such good lives that the very stuff that the pagans would try to accuse us of; that they've got nothing to say. Because you can't accuse someone who's being a servant. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
1 Peter 2:11-12. It's a very simple message. And maybe that's why there's so much I want to say about it. Because it's the simple things, the basic things that really are life transforming; that are defining about who we are and how we're to live in this world. Our spouse says something, and they just said it innocently, but it pushed our button and we interpret it as an insult, so what do we do back, insult them back. Insult for insult, curse for curse. You just get in that spiral. How is it broken? When somebody blesses. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
When there's a lot of pressure and there's a lot of turmoil and there's a lot of trials in our lives one of the areas where we become most vulnerable is in the area of our personal relationships. And the most intimate of all relationships is the relationship of marriage. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
Paul said in Romans chapter 7, "Wretched man that I am, who will set me free from this body of death? I myself in my mind am serving the law of God, but with my flesh the law of sin." The mind is critical. Romans chapter 8 says, "But the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace." The train diagram in the back of the little booklet called "The Four Spiritual Laws". The illustration is, you see a train running down the track, there's an engine, there's compartment cars and then there's a caboose. All the power is in the engine. You can't pull the train by the compartment car; you can't pull it by the caboose. Well if you think about the engine being fact and the compartment cars as faith and the caboose as feeling, the way we live our Christian life is we put our faith in the facts and then God produces the feelings. That's the point; wherever I am, I better look to God's word to see what it says about my finances because it says something that will set me free and enable me to bless God and others! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
So this is a very appropriate question; whatever season of life or life experience we find ourselves in; where do we turn when we hit a financial crisis? And the good news is that God's word has answers. As it does for all the challenges that we have in life. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
The bottom line is this. Where do you turn when you have a marriage struggle? You turn to Jesus Christ. You turn to the truth of His word. You turn to the help and encouragement of God's people. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1170/29
When we talk about this issue, where do you turn when you have marriage struggles? We're not talking about some small percentage of the population out there that we who've made it can somehow be equipped to help. We're talking about us; we're talking about all of us. And the answer is the same as I shared with you earlier on all of these. Where do you turn? We turn to Jesus Christ who love us, has a plan for us, made us, died for us, rose again, wants to enter into relationship with us. We must come out of the darkness into the light. This is what Jesus said in John chapter 3, "This is the verdict. Light has come into the world but men love darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." The tendency towards addictive behaviour is the result of being sinful in a sinful world. We're no longer in the garden, we are no longer in perfect fellowship with God and with one another. Sin has distorted our view of God, it's distorted our view of other people, it's distorted our view of ourselves. And so everybody struggles with something. So let's look at what God's word says in terms of some truth considerations and some steps to freedom. Where do you turn when you're stuggling with addicition? Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus says this, "Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me. For I am gentle and humble in heart and you'll find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
