Elayne Fluker is a Founder, Author, and Podcaster who has a brand new book titled Get Over "I Got It" (HarperCollins Leadership), where she encourages unapologetically ambitious women to learn how to embrace support not only for their success but also for their peace of mind. Elayne is also the host of the Support is Sexy podcast featuring interviews with more than 500 diverse women entrepreneurs around the world, and she is the founder of SiS.Academy -- an online learning platform educating and empowering Black Women entrepreneurs. Most recently Elayne was named a "Founder of Change" for SiS.Academy as part of the American Express "100 for 100" program featuring 100 innovative Black women entrepreneurs.  As she shares her journey to "Embracing Support is Sexy"Elayne believes that too many ambitious women strive to accomplish all their goals alone, leading to dangerous levels of stress and anxiety. This mindset is partially responsible for the increase in suicide rates for girls and women and the reason so many women end up depressed, overwhelmed, isolated and unfulfilled. To combat this alarming trend, She helps women learn how to build their own networks, make meaningful connections, and understand how even some of the most successful women in the world, like Oprah Winfrey and Spanx founder Sara Blakely, had tremendous support networks that helped them achieve their dreams.Listen to the interview

Alex and Natalie Mutambudzi, on their journey, to start a family, faced incredible challenges. Having tried from years with no success went down the road of assisted conception looking at IVF. After feeling like their doctors were not taking their needs seriously, then realising that they did not seem to have an answer. They embarked on an emotional journey through miscarriages and heartbreak to become parents.  The emotional and financial cost of that journey took them on a path that has changed the course of their lives. They have birthed the Fertility Zone, from their own experiences of going it alone not having the right answers, they did not want other parents to be to go on this journey alone. Creating a service and platform to interrupt and diversify the conversation of assisted conception for all parents especially in the Black community, giving room to have the unspoken conversations on the journey to Parenthood.
Candy-Elie Graham started an online e-zine called Fashionista Sista in 2008 to share fashion, hair and beauty inspiration for the Afro Caribbean and Asian diaspora living in the UK. She started at the time when there was very little online that celebrated cultural beauty with fashion inspiration (tailoring ideas). However, being very young at the time when she started the Fashionista Sista and found herself feeling overwhelmed. She felt that she didn’t have the skills she needed to run the platform so she walked away from the project in 2009. Nine years later, whilst on maternity leave, she realised that there still wasn't an equivalent version of the platform online. She carried out all the necessary research and planning and then birth StylzMag in 2019. A platform where the diaspora across the world can easily find fashion, hair and beauty inspiration and service providers that understand and celebrate their cultural ideals of beauty. Candy has worked on it tirelessly crafting StylzMag - working on the UI design, web testing, preliminary listings, marketing, she did most of it herself as it is a self-funded startup. In her own words “I’m a little older now, more experienced and really pleased with how it’s been received so far.” Right now she is trying to secure seed investments to expand her team and introduce new features to the platform.
