Description

The instinctual type of person, who needs to learn that trusting their gut is a good idea. Such trust won't simply appear out of the dark. It needs to be built up and trained. Once your instincts are advanced enough they will remove many false judgments.

Making your presence known begins with you.  If you don't recognize yourself in the mirror how do you expect others to play along?  We spend too much time depending on coworkers, family and friends to pick us up.  Emotional vampires and or wet blankets.  Which isn't a good thing because a wet blanket can smell moldy.  Making a presence through awareness.  To be in fully in touch with yourself and not another human's supply of energy.
Those old sayings. Who what where when and how? Some of those old sayings are not only ancient but still carry an impact today. One of them? Money doesn't grow on trees.
The strength to not only be patient but to have a willingness to listen. It requires a cleared head and heart based on faith and trust.
Thanks for being part of the conversation I am the Poet In The Forest. A children series I penned out in the 1990s. None of it would be possible if it wasn’t for this forest in South Charlotte, NC. I talk about it so much that I thought maybe it’s time you get to meet all that inspires me. Thanks for being part of the conversation
We live in an age of too many questions and too many Google answers. Why aren't we scholars? Is it because we aren't digesting the information? We get a sip of an answer then quickly jump to the next question.
When the guys and women you used to look up to are no longer around. It's your turn to shine. This is hard to digest. Like small children, nobody teaches us about the next levels of life. I didn't sit around asking my mother questions about the afterlife of middle aged. She worked very hard for several years but was there something else my mother wanted to be remembered for?
There's so much change and challenge. When you think you've got it, there's more change and challenge. It's a circle we continue to step in. It's not that we dislike change, it's just taxing on our emotions.

I love watching bad "B" movies. It slows down time. Not only that but it's enjoyable to see how the plot attempts to thicken with a little bit of shock and awe. We're also talking about the signs of getting old. Is it a sign when you start understanding the commercials geared toward the older adults? A exercise tool that's just two pedals that go round and round. Insurance beyond Medicare and bathtub you don't sit down in. Is this a sign of old age or is it the number of boxes stacking up but have never returned to get your money back?
The storms will always be heavy but we know there'll always be shelter. Knowing this helps create the courage to step up and out. We have to be visible and unafraid.
How often does the average person think about where we are in history? A former president is on trail. There are three wars with no sign of peace. Inflation haunts the daily grind and people with magic cards are eating better than those who can afford to pay their bills.
The hike revealed trails that are so thin that they've cut into the rolling hills to preserve the walk though so much natural. It feels as if the real world has been silenced while restoring, replenishing and rewinding why it's so important to never walk away from the spirit of a living forest.
We are in a place of history that feels like no other. So much war and destruction, leaders with false god tendencies and we're left standing here questioning what's real or fake. Decisions are being made by leaders that don't have entire planet in mind. If it breaks. We know things will change and no matter what the conditions are, we will be shown the way.
