His attitude towards her family is disgusting and doesn't reflect someone that "cares". Had the plane never been found he would have selfishly left them without knowing what had happened to her, or allowed them to bury her. He's clearly a sociopathic narcissist that should have done prison time. Disgusting listening to him talk about the value of being able to see his family now. He didn't care about Diana or her family, and their loss, ... while he went on to live, be rich and enjoy life as a liar at the painful expense of others!

Does anyone believe this tissue of lies she's telling? It seems so clear she and her parents are making all this up. If he do terrorized her, why did they allow him to live with them? And ultimately, she MADE THE CHOICE to participate in ending a life. This story really makes me angry.

The University needs to seriously be held accountable. The SLC police need to be held accountable also. They both cost Lauren her life.

People who think like the father in this episode that say they forgive a narcissist for raping and murdering their child make my blood boil.

I am an avid fan of Dateline and have been for many years. However I don't know how much longer I can listen to and watch old shows that have been shown repeatedly. There are so many cases prosecuted every day that also deserve attention! Please try spreading the love to others!

I have seen and heard this story enough to smell a rat.I believe that man was set up by the mother and daughter to be killed or at least jailed.Look at the girl....Really?....."he was wailing on me!".....see the great hand gesture???....and all she got was a CUT?.....sound like she had help....from mom?....They needed a great story, so they put one together.

Please balance the volume of dialogue vs the volume of the intermissions. Music intermissions are so loud!!!

Music / sounds just blasts! It is so much louder than words/ dialogue /words. One would think this is something pretty basic that can be easily addressed.

I love these podcasts but when a recording from a police interrogation is played it can be really hard to hear what the suspect is saying in the tape. it would be great if the narrator could repeat what was said or summarize it because otherwise the listener might miss parts of the story
