Joy Reid leads this episode of the ReidOut with the first edition of the ReidOut handbook on how to survive an imminent Trump autocracy. With last week’s major win for Donald Trump and for far-right Republicans, many Americans are left with pressing questions about what the future will hold for women, queer people, low-income people, and individuals seeking American citizenship. Former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance joins Joy to dive into these questions and help prepare us for what lies ahead. Plus, many questions remain about how last week’s election went the way it did and how Democrats can win back their coalition. Joy and her panel of experts discuss this plus Trump beginning to stack his cabinet with familiar sycophants. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
Joy Reid leads this episode of the ReidOut with the fallout from last week’s presidential election, as Donald Trump begins to announce names for his cabinet, including Stephen Miller and Thomas Homan. Plus, the truth about what went wrong for Democrats last week, and why no one should be blaming Latino voters for Kamala Harris’s loss. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid explains how Elon Musk and other billionaire oligarchs in Donald Trump’s orbit are already reaping financial rewards from the return of Trump, while Musk predicts “hardship” for the rest of us. Plus, Democratic governors are sounding the alarm and preparing to counter the extreme Trump agenda, particularly around mass deportations. Colorado's Democratic attorney general joins us with more. Meanwhile, Putin appears to have secured not one, but two compliant Trump presidencies, as some declare that America's time as a global beacon may be coming to an end. Listen now.
Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with President Biden addressing Tuesday’s election defeat for Democrats, emphasizing that despair is not an option, and reminding us to learn from those who fought and sometimes gave their lives for a better future. We will also cover some historic firsts, with two Black women and the first Korean-American man winning Senate seats. Plus, the rules of politics are changing—Donald Trump’s embrace of manosphere podcasts and Elon Musk’s disinformation tactics have shifted the game, signaling that it is no longer just about TV ads and big rallies. Listen now to this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut as we are now less than 24 hours away from the first polls closing, with Georgia set to close at 7 pm ET tomorrow, in the 2024 presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are making their final push, with Harris appearing at several events in Pennsylvania, including a star-studded rally in Philly tonight, while Trump holds rallies in North Carolina and Pennsylvania before ending the day in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We have reached the point in the election season where we have said all we can, laying out the stakes in this crucial election: one side standing for freedom, the other meeting the textbook definition of fascism. As we head into tomorrow, keep calm, take deep breaths, get good sleep, and ensure that on the morning of November 6th, you are proud of what you did. If you have not voted yet—or if your friends and family have not—there is still time. Listen now to this election eve edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

The thing I suggested to my mom is that, as long as Israel continues to bomb and cause death to the Palestinian gen pop, there will come a time when Hamas sees no point in keeping ANY of the hostages alive.

My stepfather used to say, lawyers can swallow a cow but choke on a gnat. He didn't like that I liked to quibble about almost anything. The origin comes from Jesus's parable about the Pharisees, Matthew 23:24.

I remember when we were complaining that the Media wouldn't acknowledge what was right before their eyes, trump is a corrupt criminal whose stench was wafting over the country before the primaries were done. Now, we're thinking Pence is an independent, honorable, normally ambitious politician because he fulfilled his obligation on Jan 6th, and maybe his 'Christian' piety. Just as we've never seen such a foul, small man as president, have we ever seen such a mealy-mouthed, timid, obsequious vice president? He lies by omission! He takes forever to answer a question and when the hour's up you see that he's avoided the substance of the questions remarkably well. Looking back is 20/20 hindsight. Isn't it likely that he's also corrupt and playing his role?

The thing about Paul Whelan is entirely different than Griner. He was a former Marine, but he was dishonorably discharged. The Russians are treating his case differently because he had a zip drive with Russian state secrets on it.

Why aren't you covering the Indigenous Woman, Delilah Barrios, who is Green💚 Party, and running for Governor? Until we get rid of Corporate Politicians, like Greg Abbott and Beto O'Rourke, who are different, and yet stll the same, because they put the Corporations, Board of Director$, Stock Holder$, and $elf-enrichment. They are both controlled by the same entities . . . the 1%! It is time for new blood, and someone who accepts no Dark Money, No Corporate Money, and has her ear to the ground, and truly cares about Texans and the State of Texas. she is a steward of the land, a mother, and has great policies! You should have included her, you invited Greg Abbott, and he declined! you should have invited Delilah Barrios! She could have taken the slot abandoned by Abbott! You and MSNBC are cheating the public, by not covering all Candidates for Governor, and letting the Public make an informed decision! You and MSNBC are doing a disservice to the people, in Texas, and Everywhere! Vote Del
