Michael Rymer is a multi-award-winning Australian Director who has spent a large part of his career working in America. Nominated for a Primetime Emmy, Directors Guild of America, and an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award, Michael Rymer has also won an Australian Film Institute, Hugo, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and Rotterdam International Film Festival award – to name but a few. Michael Rymer’s credits include such films as Perfume (starring Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Mann, and Michelle Williams) In Too Deep (starring LL Cool J, Omar Epps and Stanley Tucci)  Angel Baby (starring Jacqueline McKenzie) the smash hit Face to Face (over 40 international awards) Queen of the Damned (based on the Anne Rice novel) and television shows such as American Horror Story (20th Century Fox Television) Deadline Gallipoli (starring Sam Worthington) the reimagined version of Picnic at Hanging Rock (Amazon Studios - starring Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones) Hannibal and Battlestar Galactica (which Michael directed and also co-produced) and the upcoming Stan series The Gloaming.    Known as the actor’s director, Michael Rymer took some time out from the development of his next project to chat to Robert Rabiah and Joey Coley-Sowry on The ShowBiz Podcast. Part Two of our interview with Maziar Lahooti.Director Maziar Lahooti recently made his directorial debut in the world of feature films with the darkly comic action drama BELOW starring Anthony LaPaglia and Ryan Corr. The Directors debut feature premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival over the weekend to a sold-out crowd and was picked up for national distribution by Madman Films. Not long prior to the commencement of filming on BELOW, Maziar found out that he had won a feature film script deal with Warner Bros. Pictures in the U.S off the strength of a script he co-wrote called Die Well, one of over 400 submitted. After Maziar finishes his promotional commitments for BELOW, he will begin working with the Warner Bros. creative team to develop the screenplay. Osamah Sami is an award-winning Australian artist of Iraqi origin. Sami is an actor, writer, author, comedian and poet who is best known for his smash hit film Ali's wedding, which he co-wrote and starred in, and which was based on his own experiences.
