With The Open starting this week, returning to Royal Portrush, Rob and The CAD look ahead to the event having both played the famous links course

CAD Essendon Club Championships and Rob Bedfordshire County Championships The lads discuss various formats of these from club to club, on the same day, over two days, over two weekends, do you have to qualify, is there a handicap limit, is the course set up differently. Discuss county formats, do they differ from county to county, limits.

Where have we been? Why have we come back and what is the plan! Apologies for the UN-invited guest (the cricket clicking away!) technical issues! We gave up! Because we were hosting our podcast through By the Minute and everything linked back to them, never truly felts like we owned NTGS. Great platform which supported us has gone through some changes, stopped running commentaries through the website and went back to Twitter posts. We could never truly understand the audience as we didn’t host the podcasts, so it was frustrating and almost blind plus our tech wasn’t set up properly! Rob has been busy with football coaching, running a U10 grassroots team is a lot more work than it looks! Why have we come back? The Article – one of Rob’s mates works in golf (for legal reasons he can’t be named) and during a search came across an article on golf-drives.com “Our Top 20 Favourite Golf Bloggers”. Coming in at Number 5 (yes 5) is US! So, an independent company actually looked at our site/podcasts………. This got us thinking……..
