During this pandemic, every one is going through a tough time. We hope all of you are keeping well. In this episode we wanted to shed light on the situation of international students. This will be the one and only COVID-19 related episode for Season 3 as we want to create episodes that allow people to escape the tensions of the pandemic.  If you are looking for some well-researched COVID-19 information, we highly recommend the podcast Science Vs You can find us on Twitter or send us an audio message through Anchor! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message
It is #AromanticSpectrumAwarenessWeek! Therefore, today I talk about my experiences as an aromantic.  I also discuss why I conflate asexual and aromantic when talking to people who are not fully aware of the split-attraction model. I further discuss how this is not an ideal way to explain my identity and how my life would have been different if I was not aromantic but asexual, or if I was not asexual but aromantic. If you have any further questions or would like to recommend a topic of discussion please contact us through the innerdialoguepod@gmail.com or via Twitter @InnerCreators. Another good resource to find answers to your questions is AVEN: https://asexuality.org/. I also discuss my journey of accepting that I am asexual and trans and how I dealt with that.  If you have any comments, questions or feedback, please reach out to us on innerdialoguepod@gmail.com and on Twitter @innerCreators --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message

TW: Suicide, loss of loved ones, stress In this episode I talk about why we sometimes might feel like giving up and how to move on from it. Unfortunately, this is a reality I see in engineering and queer circles. This is my attempt in telling you that you matter no matter what the rest of the world makes you believe you have an impact. If anyone is in need of help please feel free to contact on me innerdialoguepod@gmail.com or on Twitter @InnerCreators   Also, please look at the following links to find local hotlines: * https://ibpf.org/resource/list-international-suicide-hotlines *  https://checkpointorg.com/global/ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message
Sex Education on Netflix just released their Season 2. In S02E04, they showed a character who was asexual (ace) and it was very well done. In this episode I talk about why representation is important. Representation makes us feel like we belong and it is important that whatever we create we put our true selves in it.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message
In this episode I talk about the step-by-step process of dealing with stress. This process has definitely helped me in dealing with academic, existential and financial stress. To ask or not to ask, that is the question. Asking questions during lectures is hard and honestly, it is not the only way to get your doubts resolved. Is it the best way? Yes. But as as long as you put in effort to get your doubts resolved somehow you will be fine. In this episode I talk about how I got over my fear of asking questions in lectures. And if that is not a method for you, what are teh alternatives? I mentioned Thomas Frank in this episode. So, here is a link to his youtube channel where he makes amazingly helpful videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/electrickeye91 He also has an amzing website. This is a link to this list of essential books that I found very helpful: https://collegeinfogeek.com/essential-books-for-students/ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message

This was a hard episode to record. In this episode I discuss the exposure, or the lack thereof, that I had about queer identities while growing up in India. I am grateful that I got the exposure and awareness that I know have. As that  allowed me to accept who I am.  Please note: In this episode I have only described how I experience asexuality. Here is an amazing website to learn more about it: https://asexuality.org/ If you have any questions send them my way via Twitter: @InnerCreators Happy Asexual Awareness Week!  #aceweek, #AcetoberAmbassadors  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message
A common phenomenon in university and life in general is the phenomenon of following the herd. It is when you start with a group that is similar to you and follow them onwards. In this episode I discuss how I became aware of this in my first year and how I have tried to escape it so far. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-dialogue/message
